My mom was a die hard salon enthusiast, every week, no matter what. But it wasn't until I went to a career day in college that I had my epiphany how to fulfill my creative juices. Once I saw how being a stylist can truly make a difference in how people feel about themselves, I was hooked!

Let's start with the good news. Karen is amazingly talented. I have never spent so much money on getting my hair done. But honestly, I was desperate. Due to Covid, I loved the idea that it was just Karen and me in her salon. It was about three hundred dollars more than I would normally spend. (Ouch) But, I had a time limit and I did not want to go to a salon with a lot of people. Hindsight is 20/20. Here were the problems: I asked her ahead of time if she could put purple in my hair. So glad I found Karen! She completely understands how to color and treat my fine, blonde hair! Her level of expertise and knowledge is extensive. I've never had a hair stylist take so much thought into my hair color. Instead of just slapping on any old highlight she's taking the time to correct my color to better suit my natural blonde base. Amazing stylist who clearly is interested in experimenting and learning new techniques. I travel from Washington DC to see her as often as i can. I have looked in NOVA and DC for several years and have never been as happy as I am with Karen! You won't regret time and money spent with this very talented stylist!

I have been coming to Karen for nearly 2 years, following her throughout Charleston! I have loved every haircut and highlight I have had by her. We recently tried balayage for the first time on me and I am in love. Worth every penny! She is meticulous and thorough, making sure your color/highlight is done perfectly. This being said, budget yourself a good amount of time to allow Karen to work her magic. Highly recommend!!!
