Services
Some of our clients remember the early days when Dr. Arndt's family lived in the apartment upstairs. Dr. Neil Rosen - Dr. Rosen has been a part of the team at Lombard Veterinary Hospital since 1969. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1969 and graduated with his DVM in 1971.
At Lombard Veterinary Hospital, we believe that your pet is a part of the family, yours and ours. That is why we have made it our mission to provide comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care and that is in the best interests of you and your furriest family member. If you are looking for a caring veterinary team to help make sure your pet remains in good health, we are here and ready to help.
Since 1959, the veterinarians and support staff at Lombard Veterinary Hospital have sought to achieve the highest standards of veterinary medicine. We feel that cats are part of the family, yours and ours. Our clients' response to the care we provide is the strongest testament to the quality of care we provide for their cats.
Getting a new kitten is a very special experience with lots of joy, warmth and laughter. There is a reason why the internet is so full of kitten and cat pictures and videos. Kittens are super fun, loving and entertaining. Kitten care does involve some amount of hands-on attention from human family members.
If you have lived with your cat since it was young then you have a good understanding of what is normal for your cat in the way of behavior and habits. Any changes in their behavior or habits can be a sign of illness. Because signs of illness in cats can be so subtle, even the most astute owner may miss some of these changes especially when the onset is so gradual.

I don't ever write reviews, ever. But I am taking the time to mention how amazing this place was(is). I've been to vets in Naperville, Oak Brook, etc.. and never experienced such a warm, caring vet till date. My dog was limping and had a broken dew claw and instead of going back to the places we knew, I decided to call and try out somewhere closer. They managed to squeezed my dog in last minute, the staff was incredible, and the vet was so knowledgeable. What I also loved was they didn't hassle me for documentation right when we walked in knowing there was more that mattered at the moment. Overall

My dog had a swollen face this morning, probably from a spider bite and I was scared she might go into anaphylactic shock so I tried to get her in the animal ER but arboretum view was closed and lisle ER had a 4 hour wait so I found LVH and called them. They told me to come right over and would be able to see my dog right away and I’m not even a client of theirs. As soon as I arrived, they met me at curbside and got my dog in right away. Dr.Sliwa was great! Knowledgeable, fast and friendly and so was the receptionists and vet techs. She gave me peace of mind and my dog is doing much better

Their Curbside waiting room is ok but, when the doctor actually has to see your animal I would of liked to go in but maybe it was because my dog had an emergent problem that needed emergency surgery & had no appointment but besides that they were wonderful took care of my dog right away had the surgery a few hours after we arrived and picked her up early the next day and she's recovering VERY VERY WELL, they saved her life I am forever indebted to then. Great place for regular or emergency surgery services!

It doesn’t get any better than Lombard!! There have been times when I had rushed my dog in and it ended up being nothing but they were sure to assure me that they don’t mind! They have squeezed me in several times and are very proactive at making sure my dogs refills are always up to date. Dr. Walsh is one of my absolute favorites! Great communication and friendly atmosphere!! My dog, Princess, and I are very grateful!
