Immediately after graduating in 1997, Palmer Chiropractic College alumni, Dr. Joseph Jeffries, began practicing chiropractic in Michigan. He took advantage of an opportunity to open his own practice here in Kentucky in 1999, and he's been here ever since, treating patients from Nicholasville, Wilmore, and the rest of Jessamine County.
Joseph Jeffries made a seamless transition from being a physical trainer at the gym to a chiropractor with his own practice. I started out as one of those health buffs who worked at the gym, training people and helping them meet their fitness goals. While working at a gym, which just so happened to be located in the same city as Palmer Chiropractic College, I had multiple people tell me that my philosophy was very similar to chiropractic.
Starting massage school, I knew I wanted to help people. What I didn't know is how much massage helps the human body and mind. Needless to say, I was hooked from the beginning. I graduated from Spencerian University in 2017 eager to start working. While I worked in Elizabethtown, KY, I had the great privilege of assisting with the head trainer and head massage team of UofL women's basketball team.
Both active and passive chiropractic techniques offer benefits for your condition. Dr. Jeffries will send you home with stretches, exercises, and home care techniques to continue your journey toward healthier living. After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints.
When you walk through the door you're greeted by our staff and asked to fill out some basic paperwork. After the paperwork is complete, you're taken to the examination room where you'll meet the Dr. Jeffries for a consultation and exam. I try to make it a point to explain the processes step by step, but if you want further clarification, please ask, says Dr. Joseph Jeffries.

Jeffries Chiropractic is the best. My favorite part of going to Jeffries besides the results is that nothing he does in the process of the adjustment hurts. Many chiropractors seem to cause pain, this one hands down - relieves pain. Many chiropractors want to set you up on recurring visits before they even know your situation- this guy wants you feeling better and not in the dr.’s office. This guy is great. If you’re back or neck is hurting and you’re considering chiropractics, I strongly recommend Jeffries.

I had terrible sciatic nerve pain at 18 weeks pregnant. I had never been to a chiropractor and was very skeptical to go especially during pregnancy but had been urged by multiple friends to make an appointment. Dr Jeffries did an amazing job & made me feel comfortable. I was pain free within the first week, I wish I had gone sooner!
