Great Lakes Motorcoach is a family owned and operated charter bus company that began in 1984 when Rick and Julie Reisig purchased their first two coaches after the 1982 deregulation of the charter coach industry. Both worked in the industry prior to that on the East side of Michigan. With over 80 years combined experience, they decided West Michigan was an attractive area with a lot of diversity and a great place to make their home.

Our bus from US Coachways canceled on us less than 16 hours before our very important client event. We were left calling multiple companies only to find out that nothing was available. Nothing, that is, until Great Lakes Motorcoach called us back, said they had juggled some things around, now had a bus for us and had found a driver. Seriously, they saved us from angering a bunch of very important clients as well as the loss of money due to the last minute cancellation at the venue. We can’t thank you enough Great Lakes Motorcoach! You will forever be our go to charter company!!

I had a confirmed charter booked with another company and they cancelled 16 hours before departure. 4:30pm! I had 50 of my most important clients to leave our office the next morning and had no way to transport them. I called Great Lakes and Julie helped me. She handled my situation with grace, understanding and professionalism. Julie went above and beyond, stayed late and did everything she could to help us. She called back after her efforts and said she was unable to help us. I thanked her and continued my search for a last minute charter. About 30 minutes later she called me back telling me

I am disappointed that they cancelled the Cedar Point booking from Lansing/Grand Rapids to Sandusky due to low bookings.
Update: These folks provide a shuttle service for my employer and are very prompt and friendly when called. I still stand by what I said earlier but they do deserve an additional two stars on the service they provided.

Our Girl Scout troop gets 3 bus travel quotes for our trip each year. Nearly every year GLMC is the most reasonably priced with no quirky rules that limit stops or number of scouts that can be picked up at each stop. We have been satisfied with the office at GLMC (Thanks Kathy), drivers, and the process at this company. Planning is easy with Great Lakes Motorcoach as a partner. Thanks all.

We took a group of Performing Arts students and parents up North Michigan this past weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The bus was top notch, our driver (Scott) was incredible, and there weren't any complaints from our travelers. We highly recommend Great Lakes and we will be traveling with them for all our future trips. Very affordable too! Thank you so much!

We had a great experience! They arrived on time, the bus was clean and the drivers were very friendly. In addition, we adjusted our leaving time last minute with no complications. We really appreciated it! As a final note, one of our group members left their headphones on the bus and Great Lakes shipping it to us no hassle. Thanks again!

What a pleasant experience all of our senior adults enjoyed on Great Lakes Motorcoach last week on our trip from Holland, MI to Shipshewana, IL. The Motorcoach had comfortable seats, easy access in and out of the bus, (they loved the railings on both sides of the steps), and a clean bathroom in the back of the bus. The driver was especially helpful and friendly and on time and made the trip even more enjoyable. Thank you Great Lakes!
