Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is prescribed when a patient's condition is so severe that it cannot be treated effectively by oral medications.

Typically, "infusion therapy" means that a drug is administered intravenously, but the term also may refer to situations where drugs are provided through other non-oral routes, such as intramuscular injections and epidural routes (into the membranes surrounding the spinal cord).

If I could give zero stars I would but this firm won’t let me.
This company is horrible. We were “trained” at the NICU to use a machine by 2 women who couldn’t even get their own machine to work. We were discharged and promised supplies would be delivered so our baby could eat. They were not so we had to call and the took 2 hours to arrive. When they arrived, they were missing half of the supplies. Our baby missed a feeding. Then the machine didn’t work. And they couldn’t help us fix it over the phone. They sent a new one. Couldn’t feed our nicu baby even longer. The second machine

Poor customer service. Sent more product than needed. I have 6 months supply of Heparin and 3 months supply of Saline syringes that I am stuck paying for because of their delinquency.
Insurance does not cover.
Do not use this company.

As the Director of AseraCare Hospice, I work with many vendors in Lancaster County. However, Horizon Healthcare and their staff (from intake, pharmacist, nurse, to triage) were wonderful.
The pharmacist took over 40 minutes to consult with me on PCA infusion meds for my patients overall comfort.
The infusion nurse was wonderful and very informative. I will recommend them to anyone with IV needs.

After four days in the hospital I came from the hospital disgusted with the abilities of the Physicians involved in my surgery and care. One good thing they did was refer me to Horizon Healthcare Services. I was originally supposed to be home at 1:00 PM then the hospital said I have to spend an extra night so they cancelled Horizon's appointment, I did get home at 3 that same day and Horizon was there shortly after I got home. I would advice those receiving delivery of prescription medicines from Horizon to check the items delivered carefully versus the delivery slip/invoice. They did not deliver 10 pieces of an item to me that was listed on the delivery slip. It took several calls to receive this "missing" item. Consumers should really not have to go through this.

I worked with these folks for almost 2 months for my home IV Medication. They were nothing but cordial, both for customer service and the folks who made the deliveries to my home. The weekly follow-up questions were pleasantly asked and thorough.
