Sierra Preschool & After School
We strive to make each day as academically engaging and fun as possible, so that your child is excited to return to school each day. We place strong emphasis on holistic learning and are committed to our students' positive academic and character development. Together, with our experienced staff and team of administrators, we aim to create an atmosphere that both parents and their children can benefit from.

We want our parents to have confidence in our programming and curriculum and we feel the best way to nurture that is through transparency and student performance! Our curriculum builds upon the best practices of early childhood education. Our approach to teaching focuses on mastery of core concepts through hands-on activities and multi-medium learning.
Services
Our Toddler program strives to support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of each child within our facility! The Toddler classroom setting is child-centered and developmentally appropriate. Students will have access to age appropriate toys, books, and various other learning tools that encourage hands-on learning as well as mobility and motor skills development.
Our Junior Pre-K students are beginning their journey into more structured learning environments! We want to make this a healthy and smooth transition by balancing structured learning with mixed media activities that both reinforce academic concepts and promote discovery. Our Pre-K program is designed to provide a strong learning foundation for our young learners!
Our curriculum is designed to prepare children for the next step in their academic careers! Incorporating language arts, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills development, and social-emotional development, our curriculum is both holistic and engaging.

Additionally, we structure monthly theme-based units to expand our students' knowledge base and interest by integrating hands-on science experiments, history lessons, and writing skills development.Individual observation and assessment is conducted on each child's academic progress. This information is used to prepare individualized lesson plans to ensure that each child is meeting their age appropriate goals.
Our Students will be using "A beka" & "Scholastic" textbooks and curriculum in the classroom. We will also include arts & crafts, phonics, reading comprehension, homework skills development, writing activities, math skills through hands-on activities, music & movement, special projects, and computer education in our daily curriculum.
With our pick up and drop off program, we have the ability to pick up and drop off children to 8 nearby schools. Our facility's hours are conveniently structured from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, so parents can drop off the children on their way to work and pick them up before 6:30 PM every school day! All of our school's vehicles are insured and driven by experienced school bus drivers who have a clean driving record.

This place is GHETTOOOOO! At first it looks nice (they always do). We dropped off our child for trial run for a few hours and she had ripped skin on her nose when we got her. I was pissed!! Supposedly some kid did it to her while playing "by accident." Kids look like bullies and apparently the teacher didn't care enough that they didn't even call us. These people are lucky I didn't go in on these teachers and ghetto kids altogether. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KID HERE!

Edited: My son attended to this school about two years ago and just added my experience from a couple of years ago. I also spoke with Nicole and she was very kind and we had a great talk. I understand there's new staff so this may not be the case today. Thanks for hearing me out.

This is just a heads up to a lot of other parents. If your child is not related or in some way "known" to the the teachers or staff then they will not be getting great care. I had my son at this facility for at least a year and I understand separation anxiety but also children know when they are not being

I am a first time mommy and this will be the first time I am separating my son from family day care to an actually child care center. I would not recommend this place. My tour was, I walked in and I walked out. The rep walked me to the back went over things quickly, showed me outside then led me back to the front to leave. I have been on a lot of tours and this was the most unfriendly to the point were my son wasn't even allowed to roam. Mind you I drove from la county to the inland empire for a 2 minute tour. After an hour drive! Ridiculous. Waste of time and my son could've just relaxed

This is a great preschool and daycare. They've taught my child some spanish & she even sings songs in spanish. They offer numerous fun activities during the summer break. They host great events, graduation, spaghetti dinners, Back to school night. The staff are awesome, friendly & truly love our children. The preschool is very clean & smells good all the time. I feel my child is safe and is thriving while attending this preschool.

My daughter has been attending Sierra Preschool for 2 years now and She has learned and grown so much in that time. She loves her teachers and the friends that she has made there.I am confident that she will thrive in Kindergarten because of the awesome curriculum the school has for them daily. Working full time I also love that the school provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. I am happy with the staff who is caring about the children's needs and they truly feel like family.

I do not recommend and want to warn other parents. They definitely have issues with managing troubled kids and bullying. I really tried to give that place the benefit of doubt. I had meetings with teachers and the owner but the issues of bullying still continued. There's a one star yelp review on here from 2014 that's legitimate. It was really sad to read it because it was so accurate. There's no accountability and follow through from top management. The way that daycare is run perpetuates the issues that are wrong with our school system.
A place where bullying begins and is taught

Could not have been any more satisfied with the care my son received from Sierra Preschool. He was there for 3 years and loved every single day there. The staff is incredible, they are attentive, responsible, caring and great teachers too. My son learned so much from this preschool, he learned how to spell, write, do math all in preschool, making him kindergarten ready. When my son entered kindergarten they would pick him up from school. They were always on time to pick him up, never had to worry. The daycare is incredible, really the staff there is what makes this place so great. They care about

My oldest had attended here 6 yrs ago and then we moved to a different city. 5 yrs forward were back in town and looking for a preschool for my youngest. i was a bit nervous since shes never left mommy side. After visiting a few other preschool by far this preschool has been the cleanest most organized place i've visited. My daughter had a couple weeks rough start but each day the staff outshines themselves to make her feel at home. For that gives me peace of mind when I have to drop her off.

My kids have been attending Sierra Preschool for a year now and they absolutely love it! I was really nervous when I decided to go back to work and had to find child care for my kids. But Sierra has been amazing to my kids. My daughter is now 4 1/2 and can write full sentences. My son who just started kindergarten is great with Math and can read small sentences. They couldn't do any of that when they started going here. And they take great care of the facility. It is always clean and well maintained. I couldn't have picked a better school for my kids to go to. Thank You very much Miss

I first enrolled my son at Sierra Preschool when he was 2 years old (2011/2012) and have been referring my friends ever since.

The building has its own little parking lot and garden which is really cute. The entry way is gated to keep the little ones out of the parking area, and there is awesome camera and door security. If your little one is a Hudini, they will be in good hands.

When you go in, you are greeted by Miss Christi - the director - or one of the other fabulous teachers. Then, there is a short gate to the 5 "classes." The indoor layout is open, so it can get a little louder

My son began going to Sierra Preschool 5 months ago. Since he began he has gone from not knowing how to write his name to knowing how to as well as all the shapes, numbers, colors etc. He will be definitely kindergarten ready in the fall. There is an excellent group of teachers that take the extra time to work with us to make his experience a positive one.

I worked there for almost 2 years and my advice is to keep looking. The school is in serious need of more than a few major repairs, including (but not limited to) the toilets used by the preschool children. There are a total of 5 small, child-size toilets and one NEVER worked during the course of my employment, and another one broke about a year into my employment and was never repaired. So that left 3 working toilets for up to 12 small children (with small, infection-prone bladders) to wait their turn to use 1 of the 3 working toilets. Overflowed toilets left a mess on the tile floor that was

I have had my children in this school since just after their 2nd birthday. At first I was skeptical of the "one room - divided" style of facility, but my children have thrived. With the closer quarters the teachers can switch up and overlap where needed, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The kids come home all played out, and are on pace with or ahead of many of their peers in academic skills. They put this working mom's mind at ease that my children are learning and well-cared for.

As walking in for a tour, teachers are happy and engaging with the children. Clean and welcoming. There is curriculum based on a schedule for each classroom. There are plenty of toys for them to do as the day progresses. Love the hours of operations 6:00 am to 6:30 pm easy and convinent for my schedule. Health and safety seems to be the first thing on their list when it comes to children; there is a coded entry for families to get in for extra security purpose. Love the school.
