My newborn, pregnancy, and family photography serves the entire area of Northern Virginia including surrounding areas such as Fairfax, Springfield, Annandale, Falls Church, Vienna, Centreville, Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, McLean, Chantilly, South Riding, Great Falls, Ashburn, Brambleton, Loudon County, Bristow, Gainesville, Herndon, and Reston.
My typical session lasts about 1-2 hours. A week prior to the session, I provide an email to my clients with detailed instructions on how to prepare for a successful shoot. In my experience, every baby is different in how they perceive and interact with their surroundings but there are best practices in being able to help the baby feel comfortable.
What is your pricing? You can find prices for a variety of sessions on our pricing pages (Newborn, Pregnancy, Family, and Package Pricing). Do you offer discounts? Not at the moment but please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get the latest updates. How many pictures do I get? Each session has a determined number of pictures.
Newborns are best photographed when they are sleepy and within the first week (or so) of their lives. Newborn photography is definitely challenging but the most rewarding! Here are a few tips in planning preparation to make it an even more successful newborn session. In the first few weeks of their life, newborns need 16-20 hours of sleep.
Newborns are best when photographed within the first two weeks, however, we welcome newborns of any age. For newborns sessions, my newborn photography studio in Northern Virginia has a comprehensive supply of blankets, headbands, tieback, knits and props. If you wish to include personal items, you may bring them.

We loved working with Chieu Lee again this season. She is talented, patient and kind. Chieu is a true professional and has always made us feel very comfortable. Chieu is immensely talented, kind, and patient. We booked her services for our maternity photos and immediately signed up in advance for a newborn session afterward. When our baby arrived a month early, she accommodated a schedule change, and was so good with our daughter. Would highly recommend her to any parents or couples looking for a local photographer to capture their family.

As a first-time parent, I was so nervous about taking my newborn daughter to a photo shoot - what if she screamed the whole time? I shouldn’t have worried, Chieu knows exactly how to handle newborns and she made sure that our 12-day-old baby was comfortable the whole time. The photo shoot was also efficient, which we appreciated because we were still exhausted at this point! The photos turned out even better than we expected. The backdrops, lighting, and poses are amazing, and the quality of her photography is top-notch. We couldn’t be happier and we will definitely use Chieu for future family

Chieu did both our maternity and newborn photos. She was great to work with. You can tell she really loves what she does. We were extremely nervous to get the newborn photos because we heard horror stories of babies crying the whole session. Her tips leading up to the session were so valuable and she is a miracle worker in calming fussy babies! 1000% recommend her to everyone considering her for family/couple photos!

Chieu Lee is everything you want for a newborn photographer! She is great with infants, kind, caring, patient, works quickly, and has a great photo studio. Her pictures are gorgeous! I also appreciated how covid conscious she was and wore a mask and gloves the entire shoot! I will definitely be booking her again for future family photo sessions!

I had booked a newborn session with Chieu a few months out from my due date but had to cancel the day before after one of my other kids got sick. Chieu was very understanding and super flexible and squeezed us in a week later. I was worried, though, since that meant our newborn would be an “older” baby and it would be harder to get her to cooperate. Since Chieu is a pro, the session went very smoothly, and she captured some beautiful poses with baby and the whole family. She’s worth every dime, and we’ll be back in the future!

We had photos taken by Chieu for the second time recently. She took our son’s photos at three months. This time she took photos for our son’s first birthday as well as family photos. Once again she did a fantastic job! She is so great at working with babies and always manages the to get the perfect shots! Her work is beautiful and she is very professional and great to work with. I highly recommend her!
