You go to the doctor regularly, but does your pet? Regular veterinary wellness exams are an integral part of your pet's preventive health care program. A routine examination provides you and your Kanas city area veterinarian with the opportunity to develop a picture of your pet's overall health as well as to spot potential medical issues before they become serious health concerns.
Wendy Office Manager Wendy lists her job description as "everything." Not surprisingly, her ability to multitask is one of the best attributes she brings to Mill Creek Animal Hospital. Wendy has six Dachshunds, ranging in ages from a new puppy to eight years old. When she's not at work, she can be find spending time with her husband and dogs and laying in the pool.

Participating veterinary hospitals are inspected and tested on approximately 900 different standards of running a next level practice. Because of the exceptionally high requirements, fewer than 15% of practices earn accreditation.

We have seen all the vets here and they are all awesome! All of the veterinarians are very knowledgeable and always provide exceptional service. Our golden retriever has a severe food allergy and they are always asking us how he is doing and making sure all is well with him and will follow up after appointments to make sure he is still improving. We have found our forever veterinarian!

We recently chose Mill Creek animal Hospital when we were in need of some quick medical care for one of our new kittens. They were able to work us in the same day and Dr. Neeck was absolutely fantastic to work with. He spent almost 2 hours overall with us running tests and helping us get our Nell feeling better! I would highly recommend this veterinarian and will definitely be going back here in the future with our second cat as well. Thank you so much for helping us out!

For years I have been looking for a vet half as good as the one that took care of my lab mix for 17 years in my home town. I have tried a few in the area and was so happy when I found Mill Creek. Dr. Schumacher is absolutely amazing. She is caring but frank, something I appreciate. She is easy to talk to, when I was coming in far too often with my 16 year old Schnauzer with a sketchy pancreas I was feeling like a crazy person, Dr. Schumacher was reassuring and offered suggestions that actually helped him tremendously. We had a very good experience here. Our 6 month old black lab was having some green discharge in his eye. I called and made an appointment at Mill Creek based on the reviews. They send multiple reminders and follow-up text messages which was great. The vet who saw us was Dr. Neeck who was very welcoming towards our pup and seemed like he truly enjoyed his work. He examined him and asked about his overall health and any other conditions before checking his eye. He made a recommendation to check for scratches but asked me first to ensure I was okay with it. Mill Creek is just what I need from a veterinary clinic. They are close by, the staff are kind and helpful, the Dr.s are good, and they offer differing options for treatment, depending on the health and age of your pet, the bond you have with your animal, and the particular expense of the various options or treatments suggested. Overall a very good operation and My family relies on their team for all of our veterinary needs.

So pleased with this place. My first visit(s) were with Dr. Schumacher. So good with animals and pleased with her attention to my cats I have brought in for check ups, as well as other health issues. I recently also brought in my elderly cat to Dr. Church. Will definitely continue to come here. They don't rush you through, and take all the time needed to make sure every concern is addressed. I was able to talk with Dr.Gilmore tonight and he is truly a phenomenal veterinarian and also business owner. He cares about his customers and of course their pets. He personally sent me a letter concerned about that happened and cares about what is happening. I'm not sure if my boarding issue was a lack of communication either on my part or who's? I will be taking back my dog for boarding in the future, and I thank Dr.Gilmore for reaching out to me.

I started going to Mill Creek when I got my puppy. I have older dogs that see another vet that we love, but it's too difficult to get an appointment, overpriced, and the clinic seems focused on upselling services and meds that may not be needed. Mill Creek is accessible, reasonably priced, friendly, and professional. They really seem like they're care providers, not salespeople. We can always go in when we need to and Dr. Schumacher has a way of explaining things without being condescending - she doesn't assume you do or don't know anything.

Dr Schumacher is amazing! She knows exactly how to explain everything in terms you can easily understand and has such a big heart! Her love for animals is so apparent and my dog, Hank, loves going to see her! My dog has a lot of anxiety, and she always knows exactly what to do to make him feel better when getting vaccines and routine exams. She will try anything and everything to make my dog comfortable, and has such an innovative way of delivering care. Dr Schumacher is truly amazing and i would recommend her to anyone because I know your pet will be in the best hands!

We've been taking our pets to the see the vets at Mill Creek Animal Hospital for three years. Through check-ups, worried owner visits, ear infections, allergies, a tooth extraction, a tumor removal and grooming, I have always had great experiences. They take the time needed to discuss your pet's issue, be sure you understand what the problem is and answer your questions before presenting treatment options.
I've taken many pets to many vets over the course of my life and I can tell you that you would be hard pressed to find stand-out doctors as great as those at Mill Creek Animal

As somebody who has taken their dogs to 6 different vets before finding the right one, I can firmly say that Mill Creek Animal Hospital is THE BEST. We personally see Dr. Rebecca Schumacher and she is the most stellar vet we've ever been to. She makes sure to listen to all of your concerns (no matter how big or small) and explains everything thoroughly, so that you understand all of your options. After seeing 5 other vets for help, she even cured our dog's incurable allergies! She doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions, isn't condescending, and is never rushing out

Dr. Mears is excellent. He is so kind to my puppy and knows just how to make her feel comfortable and adored. He's great with new puppy owners, too, and very happy to answer questions. I'm so happy to have him as our vet.

My mom started taking our pets to this animal clinic many years ago, and so when I moved back to KC about 10 years ago it seemed like the natural place to go. We started seeing Dr. Gilmore at that time for both our cat and our dog. We've always received excellent care from Dr. Gilmore who explains everything really well and also is very kind to my kids when they ask questions about animals or want to see what an x-ray looks like. When we adopted our lab mix puppy, we took her to Dr. Gilmore on the recommendation of a neighbor. We couldn't be more pleased with the care she has received from Dr. Gilmore and his staff. Dr. Gilmore has a gentle way with my dog that keeps her fairly calm during exams. He is also very good at explaining what's going on health-wise with our dog.
We receive emails and postcards regarding when she is due for appointments as well as announcements/coupons for products like Advantix and heart worm prevention meds. All in all, we are very happy with the care our dog has received.

I'm amazed to be the first person to review this wonderful establishment, but nevertheless, pleased to do so. It's one way I can give back to a practice that has given so much to me and my animals over the years. In fact, I was initially referred to Mill Creek by a girlfriend of mine; she and I no longer speak and she doesn't go to Mill Creek anymore, but I feel like I got the better end of the deal anyway.
