Educating patients about the causes of dental diseases is the first step towards oral health. We spend time reviewing patients' medical histories along with regular blood pressure screenings to get an overall picture of our patients' health. Many times patients have an associated problem that has oral ramifications.
Many people clench and grind their teeth during the night and don't even know it. This can lead to serious problems for some people. Clenching and grinding is common during times of stress and when someone has airway issues like sleep apnea. Although many people clench and grind about 10-20% develop symptoms.
In this world of carbonated beverages, fruit juices, and sour candies, we are eroding the enamel off our teeth at alarming rates. The process of enamel erosion is starting with our children. More children today are exposed to soft drinks and sweet and sour candies than a generation before. Besides our teeth, the acidic levels in the food and beverages we intake affects our digestive system, leading to GERD, gastro esophageal reflux disease.
In our busy lives, it is hard to take time out for ourselves. If health issues arise, we rely on the "quick fix" or the new product that gives immediate results. We will often settle for less than adequate outcomes, because we just don't have the time. The reality is that exercise, medical care, and dental care need and require adequate time.
The world we live in is stressful and it is having an adverse affect on our medical and dental health! Stress is linked to inflammation and inflammation is linked to many of the ailments we deal with. In dentistry, stress can affect many aspects of oral health. Dental and medical studies have clinical evidence of the association of periodontal disease with heart disease, diabetes and other medical issues.

My main complaint is the misleading/lying office manager, and their mishandling of billing and insurance.
When we first inquired about a visit, the manager said "most people with the same employer/dental insurance like yours will receive a full reimbursement that fully covers your cost for general dental cleaning, if not, we will deal with the insurance." Such assurance led us to choose them and paid over $330 for a general cleaning UPFRONT per their cash payment requirement. The office manager reassured the patient at checkout that if there was any problem with the insurance, they will take care

I've been going here for years! The service couldn't be better! All the way from the front desk warmly greeting you, to Kim cleaning my teeth, to Dr. Lecca looking everything over and making sure I'm good to go! If you are looking for a local dentist, you are in good hands here! Thanks for providing such a great experience! Rare these days.

This is the first dentist I’ve ever been to that looks at my overall health and well being as a whole person rather than just my teeth. I’ve never felt so cared for before in this way. They are as good as it gets when it comes to preventative, whole health care. Love them and their standards/ values!!

Dr Lecca and his staff are one of a kind! I feel like part of the family! They genuinely care about you and your teeth. I have never felt pressured to buy, or change anything in my mouth. Dr Lecca has the upmost integrity and is an impeccable Dentist. I could go to any dentist in Dallas but i chose to drive 30-40 min to Coppell because I am so happy with his practice.

I've use Dr. Lecca for several years now, and trust his work.
The office is always able to work with me and a lot of times have gotten in quick when I have to change days.
Also, Peter is a great member of the Coppell community. He is very involved and supportive of many programs around Coppell. To me this is a big reflection of integrity.
I'd definitely go back (every 6 months)
