Since the quarantine was finally easing up it was time to get my hair fixed. I made an appointment with Ariel at Moxi for a consultation since what I was looking for was pretty complex and I was a new client. They were able to get me in right away. Ariel was sweet and welcoming and put me at ease. As we talked she listened closely. She took some time looking at my hair and asked a few clarifying questions and then got to work. You should expect nothing but the best at Moxi! Shannon gave my hair exactly the TLC it was needing. This was the best haircut I've had in a long time. The salon is super cute and the prices are very reasonable. Shannon was very easy to talk to and she listened to my concerns. When I mentioned that I was visiting from out of town and I that I didn't bring my good shampoo, she gave me a big handful of samples to get me through my stay! I have been a loyal Moxi customer since close to it's first days, I love the ambiance and friendly attitude of the staff and stylists, and Candace has been a good friend and incredibly patient with my mound of unruly hair. But today she went well above and beyond to get me to my appointment! About 20 minutes before I was supposed to get to the appointment, I went to the car only to discover that the battery was dead! As a long time client, I decided to take my 6 year old, well-behaved son in for a back-to-school cut. The gal I made the appt with passed him off to another stylist who did not listen to anything I had… requested about the cut. We left with a third of his hair cut and no apology from anybody. I contacted the owner, by phone, that evening, to get only a defensive response and zero apology; she tried to blame my son being upset on our leaving partially done and not bc he just had his long, beautiful hair cut 8 inches shorter than asked! Untrustworthy, crappy salon, Shannon is crap. The manager is incompetent and unreliable, the hair-dressers stink and are un-wanted and un-needed!

It's hard to find great stylists in Albuquerque. I tend to accidentally follow trends and it's important to me that my stylist is knowledgeable about new styles, techniques, products, etc. This is why when Michelle left Project Luxe I followed her to Moxi.

I'm not a fan of the line of shampoos/conditioners they use, but the color line is awesome.

Word to the wise, it's definitely pricier by quite a bit than it was at Project luxe. Luckily, I can afford it right now, but it might not be feasible to keep up with in the future.

So I was looking for a new salon and I need a hair cut. After reading reviews, Cameron came up multiple times as a stylist women enjoyed. Cameron was fantastic!!! He was polite and attentive to what I wanted done with my hair! He is a fantastic stylist and really takes care of your hair. The price also isn't bad compared to some shops that want to charge anywhere from $60 to $75 for a cut.

Moxi is great! The environment is fun and the service is amazing! I have been going to Candace for maybe two years now and have no plans to leave her! I have a lot of hair and it is a long process to have almost anything done. She never complains that my appointments are a bit longer than average (others have done that). She takes a lot of pride in her work and won't disappoint you. I have never left the salon feeling like I'd been ripped off or didn't get what I wanted. I'm new to Moxi but I've now been there twice to see Cameron. He is always prompt and is excellent with cut and color. If you're looking for a new saloon or just want to mix things up you should check them out!

This was my first time here. While waiting for my appointment a gentleman came in, said he didn't have anything and asked them to make him pretty. Camron gave him the full salon experience. When he left, he was so happy and Camron told him to come back monthly and he'd get the same treatment. It was amazing! Candace cut and styled my hair. She did a great job. I definitely recommend this place! If I could give more stars, I would.

The ladies have taken care of me every time I come in. I'll be the first to admit that I'm always last minute when it comes to making an appointment and Candace always takes care of me. Whether it's styling for an event or cutting my hair she is always on point, and this is one of the only places I trust with my hair! Will be going back very often.
