Thank you for your interest in my work as a photographer and I'm glad you're here. Many families love and enjoy looking through family photo albums together - or at least I do. It's usually a time we look back at our family pictures and happy memories with laughter and tell the story behind the pictures.
Your portrait session is carefully planned with the ending in mind. Which means before your first picture is taken, together you and I will create a plan, keeping in mind how you would like to enjoy your portraits and where your portraits will be displayed in your home. Your portrait experience is created to ensure you and your family portraits are unique and personal.
I'm a family and maternity photographer located in Torrance, CA (Los Angeles County). In addition to photographing families in Los Angeles, I also accept photography family pictures and maternity pictures in Woodbridge, VA (Prince William County), Northern Virginia, Washington DC (DMV), and Maryland.
I'm a kid/child/teen photographer located in Torrance, CA part of Los Angeles County (also serving Northern Virginia/Washington DC). I'm comfortable photographing children and getting them to relax and have fun being photographed. Being a Mom, has given me the talent of being silly and getting children to relax, smile, open up, and be themselves.

Thank you to Tamieka Smith for the fun and special day photographing our family at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA.! I know I will back at these often through the years as she captured the fun personalities of my children at this young age. It was impossible to pick a favorite photo they were all beautiful. Tamieka was hired to take college graduation photos for my niece. She is patient and very hand-on throughout the process explaining how things work before/after the shoot. The photos were excellent. Tamieka is such a giving person. She took time to offer a session to help photographers grow their businesses. She could've very well charge each participant, but provided this service free of charge. Tamieka did not skimp on the information either. She provided clear answers to everyone's questions and even offered one on one assistance to those who wanted a more personalized experience. I am glad I was able to attend the session. I gained some nuggets to start me on my way to branding my business.

I hired Tamieka for my professional headshots and she was wonderful to work with. She understood how to best capture what was needed, was very nice, professional, funny, and made me feel very comfortable during the entire shoot. The pictures were high-quality and came out great. Tamieka was great to work with! Super friendly and easy going. We met at a coffee shop for our initial meeting. She was very flexible with scheduling and allowed us to pick a weekend several weeks out when we knew my husband would be available. She was able to get my kids to smile and was very sweet and understanding when they reached their limit. I would definitely recommend Tamieka if you want some family pictures.
