Allen Transmission
St. Louis Transmission Association is comprised of 8 independent transmission repair shops in and around the St. Louis area for over 40 Years. These 8 shops include Allen Transmission and Austin Transmission. Through our unique warehouse and distribution system we can offer our customers better quality parts, and a wider variety of warranties to better meet the customer's budget.

A Diagnostic check-out is the best way to check to see if your transmission is having a problem. Today vehicles are more complex, computer-controlled transmissions; it takes a transmission expert to be able to diagnose a transmission problem correctly. Having the right diagnosis can save you a lot of money and we offer this service free of charge, whereas most places WILL charge you for this service.
Services
When you have transmission problems, we know you have a lot of choices and it's a large investment. If you call for a tow, your car will often end up at a large national chain. However, compare the national chain with us and you'll find that they can't offer the friendly, efficient, and cost effective service we can.
We offer a free diagnostic check out to everyone if you are experiencing transmission problems. We ask that you leave the vehicle with us for a couple of hours so we can check the vehicle and the electronics out when they are both hot and cold. You can make an appointment to drop the vehicle off, but it is not necessary, yet feel free to call ahead.
Unlike other transmissions shops in the St. Louis metropolitan area, St. Louis Transmission Association has 8 separate transmission shop locations. Our professional technicians are certified to perform a diagnostic check free of charge while offering a variety of services and amenities to fit your needs.
15 to 20 years ago transmission shops were only dealing with a couple of different types of transmissions with common symptoms. Today there are many transmissions in use with new ones showing up every day. Many of today's transmissions are computer controlled, which could potentially mean that the cause of the failure lies somewhere other than with the transmission, even though the transmission is hurt or has failed.
Why can't you tell me what it's going to cost to fix my transmission without taking it apart first?. While most people are aware that their radiators need cold weather attention, few know their vehicle's transmission can benefit from a winter "physical." First, check the area around your car's radiator for leaves, paper, or other debris that might impede the incoming flow of cool air.
