Through a holistic counseling approach, it is my goal to help as many children as I can by making sure they have the tools needed to thrive and be happy with who they are as unique individuals. Play therapy is based upon the foundation that play is the child's natural way of expressing their feelings.

Through various types of play, children can safely learn to understand their feelings and conflicts. With the help of a therapist, they are given an opportunity to confront these feelings and gain increased self-control, confidence and social skills.

My name is Megan Giordani and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was raised in the small town of Easley, South Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of South Carolina in 2004 and my Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Clemson University in 2006.
Counseling techniques are geared to be age and developmentally appropriate for each individual client. My personal approach is holistic in that one does not have to be diagnosed or labeled to be a candidate for gaining tools needed to live a successful and happy lifestyle. Treating the symptom is not enough.
As a licensed professional, I am mandated to report suspected child abuse and neglect as well as suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a vulnerable adult. I currently do not accept insurance for the main reason of protecting client confidentiality. The filing process for insurance companies requires an official diagnosis along with a report of progress, a treatment plan, etc.
