Services
I earned a Bachelor's in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University (LMU). I went on to earn a Master's from Mount Saint Marys University (MSMU), with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, I make it a high priority to continually expand my knowledge and do so by attending trainings and obtaining certifications for related clinical work.
Whether you are going through a hard time or you just want a space to check in with yourself, therapy can help. I provide a safe therapeutic experience that allows you to explore your feelings and thoughts without judgment. Together, we can get you feeling your best, balanced self. Therapy sessions are designed to be a safe space for you to heal, grow, and empower your inner voice.
I provide in-person and online therapy (telehealth). In-person therapy sessions are offered out of my cozy office in Hermosa Beach. If you are not able to attend sessions in-person, I also offer sessions over an online HIPPA compliant platform called Simple Practice. Although there are many advantages of online therapy, it may not be the best fit for everyone.
My office is located on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and 24th Street, on the same side of the street as Hotel Hermosa. A few parking spots are available in front of the building. On the occasion that the entire lot is full, there is plenty of parking on the side streets. Please be mindful of where you are parking to avoid a ticket.
Each person's reason for coming to therapy is different. Therapy provides an intentional time and place just for you. Time to release everything you hold onto. We will gain clarity and awareness about the quality of the relationship you have with yourself and the world around you. We can identify unkind behaviors, thoughts, and judgments that negatively impact your experiences.

Had therapy sessions with Catherine for about a month. Started to notice that you're just a number to her; she's money hungry and finds any reason to make more $ off of you. Cancelled her service days in advance & still got charged. Payment only went through because she changed the name of the service. Sneaky move. Although she's a nice person, she didn't give me any new perspectives & I don't think she is qualified/does not have enough experience to give advice to people. Look somewhere else. Many more little red flags that would be too much to explain here.

I have known Catherine for years now and I must say that she is an outstanding and effective therapist. Catherine does a great job of connecting with her clients on multiple levels and she goes above and beyond to make sure every individual gets what they need out of their sessions. If you are looking for therapy or counseling, I would highly recommend giving Catherine a call.

Zero stars. Horrible service. Can not communicate, finds any way to cancel your session & reschedule so she can make easy $$, and scammed my friend out of $60 twice!

Catherine is a great therapist who is always striving to learn more so she can help her clients even better. She's done many trainings and continues to get certified in other modalities. I often refer people to her as I know she is kind, caring, and focuses on a holistic approach. If you're looking for a therapist I definitely recommend Catherine!
