Therapy is a path of self-discovery that can restore your connection to your authentic self so that you can feel fully alive and reach your potential. Mood disturbances such as anxiety and depression are signals that we are out of balance. Personality disorders are treatable once acknowledged with compassion.

Together we will collaborate and develop healthy and effective ways that bring relief and ultimately healing. I work with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder. Shame and C-PTSD are at the root of all mental health issues. Both are caused by attachment traumas in early life.
Services
Therapists are born and then they need all the training they can get. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and I have a Ph. D in Counseling and Somatic Psychotherapy, specifically honoring the mind-body connection. I have been in practice since 2008 and the vision of my work is to help people gain awareness of and express their authentic self.
Therapy is a safe confidential experience where you can focus on connection to yourself: you will explore your thoughts, emotions, relational patterns and habits. You may have a problem that feels overwhelming or symptoms that you are tired of dealing with alone. These issues and feelings might be difficult to share with people close to you.
Therapy is a compassionate non-judgmental exploration of your present life: your patterns of thoughts, emotions, relationships, and internal roadblocks. Your past experiences are at times discussed but only to understand how they effect your life today. Therapy happens in the here and now experience of the present moment.
Relationships and interpersonal connections are the foundation of our lives. Research has shown that the happiness a person feels is in direct correlation to their most intimate relationships. Being in an intimate relationship is life affirming, yet most of us were never taught how to do it in a conscious, functional way.
I am here to support therapists who need help managing a patient with Complex-PTSD, a cluster B personality disorder, or a challenging couple with a history of narcissistic abuse, domestic abuse or an ongoing high-conflict divorce. I genuinely believe in collaborating with other therapists on challenging clinical matters to offer another trauma-informed perspective.

Wonderful and caring, Dr. Nadine has helped me tremendously over the last 12 months with various personal issues during 2020 and the lockdowns. I highly recommend Dr. Macaluso if you are looking for a therapist.

Dr. Nadine Macaluso has been the most compassionate and understanding psychologist I have been to in my 13 years of therapy. The online teletherapy sessions are very helpful due to Covid lockdowns and the fears associated with it. Dr. Nae specializes in Anxiety & Depression which was very helpful to me. I highly recommend 👌
