Visiting for vacation in Sarasota. I came across a great Cuban cuisine with a Havana atmosphere with humble beginnings. There food was excellent very delicious, and I was very impressed with there staff and chef. If your looking to enjoy yourself this is the place. Best meal of the entire vacation, and the service was impeccable.

Authentic and delicious Cuban food! It has a home-made quality that makes you feel like your visiting a friend for dinner. Small rectangular seating area is perfect for small groups of 3-4. Service was detailed and quick. I visited 12/10/21 before a concert at the Ringling Museum, which is only a 5 min drive away! My table ordered arroz con pollo, pescado frito and a lechon Cuban sandwich. This will be my Cuban food spot when in Sarasota.

What an amazing meal. We had the arroz con pollo, a Cubano sandwich and the Ropa vieja. All of which were fantastic. I was there with my wife and two kids and we had to take the sandwich to go because we were too full. The staff was friendly and we lucked out because at 12:30 on a Tuesday there was no wait

The food here is SO GOOD! The seating is limited so be prepared to wait. It’s worth every minute though.
Our server Ale was wonderful. Very quick and seemed to be running the entire dining area. She’s on it!

I had never had Cuban food before. I tried the steak, plantains and black beans and rice topped off by Cuban rice pudding. My sister got the salmon and it was a very large piece.. My brother in law got the pork chops. They shared a large ham and bean bowl. Everyone was satisfied and full. The price was good and the bill was only 44.00. While we were there a large group of very good looking girls came in. This place is a very small local cafe so it would be advisable to try it sometime besides lunch.

Tonight’s pilgrimage in pursuit of the areas best Cuban sandwich brought us to Mirna’s Cuban Cuisine. Not the most spacious of dinning room layouts, but it was functional. We were fortunate to be seated as soon as we arrived and the service was ok. They male servers was outstanding; friendly and attentive.
