Dr. Ballance received his undergraduate degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. After completing his residency in New York State, Dr. Ballance returned home to Idaho with his wife Liz, to raise their family and join our team.

We do bill most insurance carriers as a courtesy to our patients, and they require us to collect applicable co-pays prior to billing them.

Your payment information is being entered into our secure database, where our Billing Manager will carefully double-check everything, and ensure that the right amount is processed and applied to the correct account.

This place is a joke. Go here if you only want to waste money and time. They can help with cleaning out your bank account and nothing more. These crooks charged me 300 for a 15 minute conversation and a few suggestions. This place is a joke. Look elsewhere if you want a place that has family friendly prices

It was an absolute paradigm shift too have such a warm and friendly staff make you feel like they were actually working for you the patient. In a new era where health care providers are being coached to have P.A.s see patients instead of the MD.s so the HMO can run more people through for higher profits I was very very pleasantly taken back in time by Family Health Care of Boise. OWCP claims are an enormous suction of time for both administrators and the Doctor but even this did not cause the slightest waiver in highest level of customer service at a Doctors office I’ve seen in 50 years. Back in the days when Erin Moon P.A. was still there, the clinic was great, but Erin left due to the clinic's own policies, which limited her ability to treat patients. Her shoes would be hard to fill, but she was replaced by another Erin, this time, Erin Murphy P.A. took her place. This Erin was also caring, would think outside the box, take time to truly talk to patients and care to find working solutions for them. She too was amazing! I would absolutely recommend Family health care. My brother started going to them for some depression and he has almost become a whole different person much happier cheerful. I too struggle with depression and when I went to to my appointment I was very surprised that they asked very thorough questions, very kind, great listener, great atmosphere very welcoming. I did not feel shame to ask that I need help for depression. I absolutely would recommend them. No one should be ashamed of dealing with depression and asking for help.

Dr. Balance is very personable, cares for his patients, and helped my son greatly. I didn't give Family Health Care five stars simply because the office staff seems to lack excellent professionalism. There is a lot of room for improvement in the front office. Also, some of the literature/brochures seem quite antiquated. This doesn't induce confidence if you are going by "looks;" however, Dr. Balance and his competence seem to outweigh these factors. Time for a few updates perhaps?

Love this health care facility. Everyone from the receptionists, to the nurses, to my doctor are friendly and professional. They’re considerate of my needs and the underlying issues causing them. They were amazing helping me keep my active 3 year old entertained while I had my visit. I got one visit mixed up and the receptionist was so so sweet and insisted that I didn’t feel bad and helped me to reschedule. I can’t say enough about how amazing they are and I will recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you!
