Kathy is great. Very gentle and careful. I always get mani, pedi and eyebrows here. I love the relaxing atmosphere and professionalism of ataff even if you are not their client Also there I s tea, water, wine, mimosa offered at the start of your service. Finally, a decent and clean nail salon! Yesterday my tech, Ann, was excellent.

Have you ever had a sub 10 min gel manicure? Well if you are interested, this is the place to go. I have no nails left. She took off the previous polish by just filing down my whole nail to where it was so thin and painful. Then proceeded to get mad when I said I didn’t want any gel polish after. There were so many short cuts. She pretended to do the cuticles and she put lotion on my hands then asked me to wash? The whole thing was a mess. I had to clip my nails as short as possible because they kept bending and were super painful

So I see that I'm not the only one who thinks Tony is the worst. I requested the 40 minute pedicure that was poorly done in 25 minutes. Tony was on the phone most of the time. His mask stayed below his nose. Modo falsely advertise that each person gets their own file and buffer. The toe separators appeared to be used. My fingernail cuticles look worst then when I came in the shop. This was my first and last time at Modo. Don't go to Modo.

I wtite this review after I let the nail tech convince me that powder was superior to gel, he said they would last longer than gel and "make my nails very strong." That was not true at all. In less than two weeks my powder was lifting up and almost ripped off every nail. I could barely zip my pants or pick up anything.
Also the owner does not wear his mask. He is rude AF and proud of it. I've watched other customers complain and he disrespected them, I don't know why I expected any different. I complained he dead panned me. I left and went to another salon who took care of

The atmosphere is amazing . However, the skill set is lacking . This over-priced nail place charges customers top dollar to train folks who are just starting out. I paid $120 for mink eyelashes that were not even real mink. Next my eyelid became irritated and my lid tore. My nails were coming off after one week.

This place is a hit and miss salon. My last visit on 7/16, was a definite miss. I was paired with Kelly and my experience was similar to going to an ATM, withdrawing $70, and ripping it to shreds.
Kelly was more interested in talking to the man who came to sell boxes of mangoes and other fresh produce, than she was with providing a service. I kept pointing to where she was messing up my nails, but she didn't seem to care. Her efforts on this faithful day, were lackadaisically negligent at best.

The place is unsanitary & messy looking, very run down & poorly kept. Has a very sketchy vibe, not like any other salon experience ive ever had before lol. I was instantly underwhelmed upon entering the store. Then I realize, the place isn't handicap friendly. You have to climb up on a flimsy wood platform to get into the tacky chair (Idk who decorated this place but YIKES!). Went to this place on June 3, 2021. Upon walking in they have signs that say cashapp only to pay for services received. My temperature was taken and I was told, "you're too hot". Meanwhile it's somewhat of a hot day outside so I said, it's hot outside. I was told to pick a color and they'd "try again". The inside is nice and pretty but the quality of work is not it. I went here last minute before a trip to get a fill in since my regular spot tends to over book and have people waiting for hours. I went to Seynat based off of the pictures of her work here on Yelp and made an appointment with her. She was sweet and all but she just didn't get the concept of the design I wanted. My best friend and I came here in celebration of her birthday. She got a gel manicure and I got a gel pedicure. All around loved the atmosphere but the workers don't listen to customers. Tony (my pedicurist) ended up scraping my foot really bad and it hurts even to walk because of where the injury is. I also mentioned I wanted the French tip to be thinner and was ignored. My friend mentioned her manicurist filed too close to the tip of her nail bed and it burned when she used to UV light. I wanted to SOAK off my old set, get a liquid gel set with some crystals and a gel pedicure. I was so quickly greeted and rushed to a nail tech that he barely had time to process and pass on what I stated.
Just to be clear and make sure my nail tech and I were on the same page I REPEATED the services I wanted when I sat down: SOAK off then liquid gel full set. He proceeds to try cutting the previous set off and immediately punctured the middle of my nail. I tell him again that I want to soak

I've been going there since they opened ! Good service is not consistent so I stopped going to everyone. Tony is the only one that I go to now. He knows what he doing so that saves me time , energy and complaints! Overall it's a great nail bar. The salon is clean and relaxing. Prices are fair with 5% off when paying cash. Manager is very nice and professional. This will stay my to go place as long as Tony is there.

Kathy is one of the best nail techs at Modo Nail Bar! I've been going to her for over a year when I requested someone to care for my injured foot as I needed a pedicure for a special event.
She is very personable and makes you feel important as a client. If there's anything your not happy with, she will fix it for you.

I looked this salon up on Yelp before I walked in the door. I was in the area and needed a manicure, I'm a manicure fanatic and get mine done every 2 weeks. I honestly debated with myself due to the reviews. Took a chance and wasn't disappointed.

I've been coming here since the salon opened, and I've been happy with the services I received. Especially since I met the nail tech Tee, she is the only tech I'll see so I make appointments with her rather than do walk-ins. She is so sweet and attentive, and she is very meticulous when she does my manicures and pedicures. I've probably had every type of pedicure the salon offers with her, and she has done regular, gel, and SNS manicures for me.
