Soller-Baker's story began in 1865, when John Soller founded the Cabinet Makers Union at 222 Main St. in Lafayette. After Otto C. Baker joined the firm in 1927, the name was changed to Soller-Baker Co. Inc. In 1929, our funeral home moved to a large home at the intersection of 4th and Alabama streets.

Very careing and understanding staff. My father had passed away with no life insurance. Was emotionaly/ mentaly devastated. They worked through the hard time with us on finacial areas .
My grandmother (his mom) had passed 3 mths later. The tranfers part with her was handle with much care and respect. They also understood while I stayed by her side until the final end . We gave a little graveside farewell along with her last final wish that she always told and stuck with me through out these years.
Definately a 5 star place and they treat you like family as times are hard.

My daughter passed away from cancer they banned together with my ex inlaws and took my baby from the hospital without my permission when i got ahold of them to ask them why they took her without obtaining my permission first they told me i needed to seek help i guess if you have family in the business you can get away with anything
