Born and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and then decided to pursue a career in the dental field. I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. I'm proud to say that I am a North Carolina native, raised in Durham, NC.

They were not very clear on explaining to young patients that they are out of network. I even spoke with the office worker the day of his appointment, she wanted to see an dental eob to ensure coverage ( odd but in a college town weird things can happen). Then she had my kid put the fee on his credit card (in network does not do this) ugh. I wonder if this was a new employee. So we are out $500+ hoping the out of network benefits happen. So parents if you have Cigna, this is not the place of service for your kid. College kids have enough to handle. Your dental and medical benefits should not be

Dr. Furgurson and his staff are wonderful. Whether a simple check-up or more extensive work, they are always friendly and supportive. Dr. White and his whole staff are amazing. I’m not one to enjoy going to the dentist like most, but they made it as painless, pleasant, and as stress free as possible. Dr. Furguson and the entire staff always make me feel comfortable and provide excellent dental care. Dr. Furguson provides great diagnostic care in addition to his excellent care for my teeth and gums.
He is the best dentist that I have ever had.
Note that he has provided painless and compassionate dental care for my wife who has had a phobia about dentists for years. Both of us really appreciate his care and my wife is extremely happy she found him and the staff.

I knew this place was going to be good. I have been reviewing places for 4 years on Google maps and have reviewed 184 places,but I have NEVER seen a business with a 5 star rating with 168 reviews. I, unfortunately, have had dental issues most of my adult life and a phobia of dentists since childhood. Dr. Furgurson and all of his staff are professional but also very personable at the same time and recognize my need for reassurance. I really enjoy my visits to this office. I see Dr. White and hygienist Lindsay. Lindsay is gentle yet thorough. Dr. White always takes the time to chat with me and catch up on life! Staff does a very good job communicating preventative dental care to ongoing response to problem areas. Communication is good as to reminders for upcoming appointments and financial information for larger procedures (total cost and estimated insurance payout). CHFCD also has emergency line for situations that come up after hours.

Just brought my 4 year old in for his regular cleaning, the whole team did a great job. From the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The hygienist and dentist were just wonderful with him - patient and kind. He really enjoyed his visit!!! Thank you Dr Ferguson and team for making my little man love the dentist!

I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years because I didn't have dental insurance and I do have dental anxiety. My last dental experience was painful and I put off regular dental visits. After noticing some concerns with my gums, I broke down and made an appointment. I'm glad that I did. I felt absolutely no discomfort during my deep cleaning appointments. Wolf in sheeps clothing. While everyone here was very pleasant and nice I felt like i was being rushed through a greased system from the beginning. The office is clean and shiny but the x-ray machine is still bitewings instead of digital.

This dental practice is the BEST! Not only do they strive for excellence, but patient comfort, satisfaction, and service is also top notch. Dr Furgurson did an excellent job replacing several old crowns from a injury I sustained over 3 decades ago. The results are life changing. What a huge improvement! I should have done it years ago. Also, the entire office staff and dental team are so nice and so welcoming, which really helped alleviate my anxiety & stress about the procedures. I felt like I was family!! Today was my first visit and I was very pleased with how friendly and efficient the front office staff were. Everything was very clean and the atmosphere was very inviting. I was also only expecting a 1 hour appointment but I was informed that the initial is usually a 1.5 hour appointment after I had arrived, once I told them I only had an hour (I was on my lunch break) they managed to do my cleaning and evaluation extremely quick and still efficiently. I look forward to my future appointments at this practice!

My husband and I have done deep-cleaning and fillings here--overall, we loved our experience. However, we have to pay $$$ out of pocket (surprise!) because the deep cleaning was denied by the insurance--if we knew this earlier, probably would not have done the procedure. Other than that, good dental place in the area.

I have been going to this office for 10 years. Dr. Furgurson has taken over there after Dr. Lohman left without skipping a beat. The staff are all super professional and friendly. I just got a new crown that just didn't fit right. They got me in immediately and replaced with no charge or issue. Love this dentist and staff!!!
