Sinclair's Kyuki-Do Martial Ar
KYUKI-DO incorporates Tae Kwon-Do, Judo, HapKi Do, and Jiu-Jitsu into one well rounded ART. We also offer dedicated classes in traditional weaponry. Sinclair's Kyuki-Do Martial Arts has a flexible Schedule and affordable pricing for you and your family to startyour Martial Arts Training today. The most difficult part of traditional Tae Kwon Do is not learning the first kick or punch.

It is not strugglingto remember the motions of a Poomsae or becoming acquainted with Korean culture. Rather, it is taking thefirst step across the threshold of the Dojangdoor. This is where roads diverge, where choices are made that will resonate throughout a lifetime. I've been at student for a few years now.
Services
Since 1983 we have been a member of the American Kyuki-Do Federation (www.kyukidomartialarts.com). KYUKI-DO incorporates Tae Kwon-Do, Judo, HapKi Do, and Jiu-Jitsu into one well rounded ART. We also offer dedicated classes in traditional weaponry. Our goal is to help people fulfill their potential by increasing their levels of physical & mental fitness and building confidence.
Master Sinclair started his Martial Arts training under Master OK Hyung Kim in January of 1983. He also holds a 1st Dan in Hapki-Do, a Brown Belt in Judo, and trains regularly in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Modern Arnis. Before moving to Acworth, Georgia, Merrill instructed classes at the Bartlett Park District and at Kim's Black Belt Academy in Elgin, Illinois, and in 2003 opened his own school in West Chicago, Illinois.
Our Tot-Kwon-Do classes for 3-1/2 to 6 year old's are fun, physical, and educational. With over 30 years of experience with children we've learned that development at this age relies on interaction and a little discipline. In these classes children exercise, learn listening skills, develop focus, motor control, and how to follow directions.
Through the years Martial Arts has proven to be beneficial to students of all ages. Our classes help the Mind, Body, and Spirit. Students develop confidence, focus, and disciple that permeates throughout their lives. They develop positive habits and a positive attitude. Our open training schedule allows for flexibility in your training schedule so that you can get the most out of our Academy.
Sinclair's Kyuki-Do Martial Arts recognizes the importance of family within our Academy. Not just the support for the student, but families training together. Families that train Martial Arts together develop a bond that is different than any other. Talk to some of our families and see how your family could benefit.

Master Sinclair is great with his students. Extremely knowledgeable and very patient. Teaches great focus and discipline. My 9 year old daughter has been attending for months and loves it. I highly recommend for kids that need to work on discipline and focus as these are vital for martial arts.

Let me say this, ive been to multiple dojos in my past testing out classes and every single one of them never really explained the importance of diffrent techniques, at sinclairs I've been able to fully understand each technique I've used and accomplished great skills, Sinclair spends a lot of time making sure that we fully become great at what we do, ive seen great skill come from each person in the dojo and have been very well taught. Sinclair also teaches great life skills and tells great stories. The environment is amazing. There usually is not much people so it allows us to have more time

I had a horrible experience with Mr. Sinclair. A year ago, I brought my then 4 year old son here. After attending class for only two days, Mr. Sinclair tries to diagnose my child with ODD(Oppositional Defiant Disorder) just because he was excited. I had to go look up the disorder because I had never heard of it before, not even from my child’s own doctor. Not only did he make this diagnosis, that I don’t think he is qualified to make, but he also did it in front of another parent. I felt so insulted that we stopped going after the 3rd day.

I've been at student for a few years now. Since joining I find that I'm healthier, happier, and less stressed. Due to stress from my job, I might not always walk in with a smile but I always leave with one. This place has become an integral part of my life for myself and my family. My son and my niece have both joined this year and they are having a blast! It's a great family environment. I love how no matter your age or rank, everyone is in the same class so I can enjoy learning right beside my family.
