When I moved to Auburn over a year ago from out of state, one of my main worries was finding a salon. I happened upon Ambiance online and I set up an appointment for a wax with Manon. I'm so glad I did! She is friendly, very knowledgeable and always professional. Still going here for waxing and have also had manicures and pedicures with Michelle as well as get my hair cut and colored by Leeann every month. They are all fabulous women and I have never been unhappy with a service or a price. I highly recommend Ambiance and every technician there!

I went for the first time to get a Brazilian wax, the woman was very friendly however I have had many Brazilian waxes other places that were great. She did not seem very knowledgeable about what she was doing, she gave me no after care instructions, I’m pretty sure she double dipped the sticks she was using... and worst of all after she was done I was so extremely sticky which has never happened before. She did give me some wax removal lotion to use but honestly it did not really work. I would not recommend this place for waxing as it seemed unprofessional and not to mention unclean. I would

I have been going to Ambiance since they first opened. They moved from their old place sometime back and it is very pretty with calming, inviting colors. Manon is wonderful with facials. I have one each month and look forward to my relaxing experience. My skin always looks and feels so smooth and refined. I also use some of the same products at home. Manon really knows skin and she has made a big difference with mine.
I also go to Michelle monthly for mani--pedi. She does an outstanding job on both. Michelle has a good knowledge of hand and foot problems so is able to answer questions I have related

Okay so I've seen a few other reviews similar to the experience I've had. My husband and I went up there a week before my appointment to schedule it on the day I wanted. When we walked in a lady in scrubs asked me how she could help and I said I wanted to make an appointment. She said the receptionist wasn't in but she would help as best as she could because she didn't know how to take an appointment. (I was a receptionist for a long time. My cosmetology teacher recommended this place so I decided to try and get my grandmother and I an appointment here. Bad idea. I wanted to get a full set and she wanted a pedicure. I went in on Saturday to get this done. They were really rude when I walked in and then told me their nail technician was not in. So I was like fine. We walked out. Manon is awesome! I've been going here for over a year now and always look forward to my Brazilian was with her each time. She always makes it comfortable. Love everything about this place :) Manon and Rachel are the best! They have become friends as I have been coming here for 6+ years! Was scheduled for a nighttime wax and was called day of because the waxer was sick. I was scheduled for the next morning at 8:30 AM, fine with me but little did I know it wasn't even a real appointment time. Due to that I felt rushed in my appointment. I was very sore, red, and bumpy afterwards and that is it a normal for me. The waxer was kind and talkative though. I may try it again during their normal hours to see if my experience is any better.

I went in for a wax, the facility gives an outward appearance of being very clean and calming, and the employees are all very pleasant, however they double dip the wax! By this I mean they put the same stick that they've put on your body back into the wax (which is not hot enough to kill bacteria that resides on your skin), and unless they change the wax every time a new customer comes in (unlikely, and very expensive), you're getting everyone else's microorganisms on your body, yuck! Not only is this extremely unhygienic and disgusting, it's also illegal. Will not be returning

First visit to Spalon was "good"... first snag I encountered was parking. It's got a tiny parking lot which was full and required me to park about a block away at McCallisters... Filling out the first consult card only asked for personal information, nothing about my massage preference, allergies...nothing along those lines. The massages are performed in an area away from the main salon, which allowed for mostly quiet relaxation... My room was too cold. I should have spoken up, but eh. My therapist Audrey was a joy! She was thorough and my session was unrushed. I will be back to

I went in for a spa pedicure because someone got me a gift certificate. The receptionist wasn't friendly and the pedicure/nail stations are in a glorified closet...not very spa-like at all. The woman who did the pedicure was friendly and was thorough with scrubs and lotion. However, the whole reason I get pedicures done is to clip the nails and take away calluses. She spent hardly any time on caring for the cuticle or calluses or shaping the nails.
