In the early days the Company specialised in the design and manufacture of textile machinery for the local cloth producers and by the 1930's the Sellers name was known nationally, producing a wide range of equipment. In the 1950's and 60's with the rapid growth of machine-made woven and tufted carpets, Sellers concentrated their developments on bespoke carpet finishing, generating an excellent reputation around the home market.

Established in 1984, Sellers of America is based in Dalton, Georgia USA, right in the heart of the carpet market and provides back up service and support to over 150 machines. The team is run by Charlie Armitage. The Sellers of America building houses an inventory of stock for the machines as well as full grinding and bevelling facilities, to allow regular maintenance of the shearing headstocks.
The new SELLERS Shear has been designed and developed using the proven features of previous successful models and combines these with innovative design to give improved quality of finish, economically and efficiently.
