My experience at Aviara overall was good, physical therapy was good and they knew what they were doing. The nurses here are good as well, Devon was extremely friendly and helpful. While staying here housekeeping was here everyday cleaning and she cleaned thoroughly. There can be some improvements such providing a variety of choices for vegetarian meals but Aviara is facility I would definitely recommend to others.

If I could give zero stars i would. I worked here and saw CNA'S constantly be aggressive with demented patients. Hospice patients required too much attention for staff and often went neglected. I saw a CNA treat a patient rather brutally a few times and two weeks later she passed away. Was it natural or the CNA'S mistreatment? The night shift might as well stay home because they don't do anything and fall risk patients end up falling because of it ESPECIALLY at night.. Bill adams makes sure all complaints go to him before you report anything to the state and then he says he'll take care of it but

We choose Aviara for my 87 year old mom rehabilitation after hip replacement surgery. I am giving 5 star to this facility because of nurse, room assistance and PT/OT staff. People there are very carrying and with their help my mom was able to go back home in 3 weeks. Saying that it’s important for family members to be there encouraging the patient for PT to be effective. I only wish the discharge process to be better organized.

It has been a unique opportunity for me to befriend and shepherd Robert Tydesley during his final years at Aviara. During my visits I often observed the affection and appreciation that Bob had for staff members who were responsive to his needs and concerns as he was bedridden. When I made periodic requests on his behalf the response was usually prompt and courteous. What I most appreciated about the Aviara staff was that they usually recognized the sacred moments I shared with Mr. T. If the matter was not medically essential they would excuse themselves and return later. Though I had to travel

We thought Aviara did a really good job of watching over our father while he was there for over a month. Their Rehab (PT/OT/SpeechTherapy) is excellent. I was also very impressed by the level of medical care and attention he received at Aviara from his physician, the PA, the nurses, and CNAs. All the staff there, from the concierge, the laundry, the kitchen staff, to the case managers, were helpful, friendly and attentive. He made good progress there, but his serious underlying medical conditions persisted despite the excellent care he received through the hospital and Aviara. After we made the

I was looking for a facility to be transferred to from a hospital where I’d been in the Intermediary Care Unit for a week with severe pulmonary issues - copd/lung cancer/radiation etc. so I could undergo some pulmonary rehab and occupational therapy.
Upon initial review I chose Aviara Healthcare Center, but when I looked at more reviews I was more hesitant...some reviews stated poor staffing, lack of care, compassion by staff. I almost tried to back out of going. I’m sure glad I didn’t.
What I found at Aviara Healthcare Center was, for the most part, a competent and caring nursing staff

Would not recommend for a stroke patient. Under staffed especially on Sunday's. Many administrators but care for my brother was poor. He ended up having bed sores and pink eye. Glad I was there to be his advocate.Only after my written compliant did care improve. Too late. My nephew saw the house doctor when my brother was admitted. I never did see him. The PT and OT and were excellent but not suitable for stroke patient. Speech Therapist was excellent, but the daily care was not acceptable.

My mother broke her hip and needed a skilled nursing facility after her hospital stay. We chose Aviara based on my walk through and the location.
The facility itself is bright and clean. The nursing staff is conscientious about the distribution of meds. The managers that we were regularly in contact with, Melyssa and Champagne, were attentive to my mothers' needs as I made the ladies aware of them. As with any nursing facility it's the squeaky wheel that gets the attention and this facility was no different. It really is crucial for any patient to have an advocate in situations like these. It
