At Shear Art Hair Studio we strive to provide a friendly and professional salon experience for all our guests. We have a team of experienced and energetic stylists ready to make you look and feel beautiful. Colleagues and friends, Kelly Simes and Meghan Van Cour decided to open Shear Art Hair Studio in South Cape in 2013.
I grew up wanting to do hair. My girlfriends always came to me in grade, middle and high school to do their hair and make up but I landed a great gig in the corporate world. Once I moved from Chicago to Florida, I decided it was time to follow my passion. I feel that I have a good eye for fashion and fun.

I moved to Ft. Myers FL in August 2021. Bill, my husband saw this salon and said, "I think my girl would like this place!"
Bill is right. What a great salon. They changed the way I get my hair color done. Less damaging than how it was done in Denver CO. Move to a small costal town for great hair!
Now, for my stylist, Jax Hernandez, I call her Jackie. She is the best. Keeps my hair blonde and beautiful! She is dedicated to her clients and listens to our wants and makes it happen! Thank you Jackie for the terrific care you give me and others. She is beautiful and a delight to

Amelia is the best! I'm not in Florida full time and was in DESPERATE need for root color and cut. As most know its not easy finding that perfect stylist...well I found it with Amelia! She was able to match my root color and gave me the best cut. Not to mention the super feel good head massage with the shampoo. The salon was clean, super cute and everyone was very nice. Definitely going to be my go to when I'm in town. She does a scalp treatment too, which I cant wait to schedule.

Today wasn't my first visit at the Salon, and it most certainly won't be my last. I'm totally shocked about the few bad reviews to be found here on google but then again I know, from experience in the customer service industry, that you can't make them all happy I guess. Where to begin ! I am so happy with my wash / head massage, cut and blow dry! Jackie (Jax Hernandez) did an awesome job! She was ready for me upon arriving per scheduled appointment. I couldn’t be happier with how sweet and knowledgeable she was! Had a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and she delivered. The salon was clean, spacious, welcoming and the staff was friendly.

This was my first time in here and I liked it. It's a small apt which is kind of hard to miss from the outside but once you get in, it's comfortable and bright. They offer you a drink when you check in which was hospitable. The girls who work there have different levels of experience, so the pricing is based off of that. Suzanne was friendly and did a good job with mine. It was more affordable than I was expecting. I'd come back and make this my spot when I'm in the city. Thank you!

We had a delightful experience at Shear Art Hair Studio. Amanda and Kallie gave us beautiful haircuts with a men's short scissor cut and a women's short/medium bob. They are very talented!! We were also pleased with our booking experience. We are visiting Cape Coral and Brenna listened carefully to what we needed and helped us book convenient appointments with great professionals. I highly recommend Shear Art Hair Studio.

I was less than impressed with my hair and the pricing. I am not one to complain about high priced hair salons (it is usually worth it...experienced stylists and great products) but I had a very very very minimal balyage and was charged for a FULL FOIL! The color was so minimal that when I returned home my mom said "so you ended up just getting a haircut and no highlights?"... i did not want much color and explained that to my stylist so she did what I asked but I do not feel I was charged accordingly. I called and told kelly (the owner) how disappointed I felt and she tried to bring

Wonderful service, they squeezed me in short notice the day of. I had my hair blown out by Kim, she did a great job! She know tons about hair talking to me about how the last girl before cut my hair and why it fell the way it did. The price was great and the whole salon was full of life and had that family feel!

It's been awhile since I first started coming to Shear Art. I still love this place. Always welcoming to everyone ... I have never seen them treat anyone with anything but respect and kindness. Caring about how you feel when you walk out the door.
I have changed my style a few times since coming here and love it each time! Meghan is an artist!

I read reviews before making my appointment. I really didn't know if I should right a review or not but I feel I need to. Went in for color and haircut and style. As I watched my hair being cut, it wasn't what my previous stylist ever did...no time at cutting, kind of just blunt cutting. I even said, wow you are done cutting my hair and she said yes but I do the finishing cut later. Ok, but she didnt. So I walked out with a cute style but now as I have been doing it at home myself, I can tell it isn't a good haircut. Also, my color, we'll not how I like it. I also noticed that

This is a fairly newly opened hair salon, but from what I have learned, most of the staff came from another salon and opened their own place. I came here after my current stylist from another salon disappeared. Don't you just hate that?
