Maus Funeral Home was established in 1971 in Attica, Indiana by Dale Maus. Dale had previously worked at DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica before purchasing the Roemer-Merryman Funeral Home. In 1974, Dale's Son, Robert D. Maus, received his Funeral Director's License and started working with his father at the funeral home.

In 1996, Dale Maus passed away and Robert took over the day-to-day operations of both funeral homes. Dale had served the Fountain, Warren, Montgomery and Tippecanoe Counties for over 62 years. In 1991, Maus Funeral Home expanded by adding a new location in Hillsboro, Indiana. By adding this location, we could better serve the Southern Fountain County community as well as portions of Montgomery and Parke Counties.

The State of Indiana does require that a person is to be cremated in an "alternative container." An "alternative container" means a rigid or nonrigid receptacle or other enclosure that meets the following requirements. The "alternative container" that Maus Funeral Homes offers is priced at $100. If you choose to purchase a cremation casket, you do not have to purchase an "alternative container."

The option that relieves the burden from your family. One of the most loving, caring things that an individual can do is leave behind details and information in regards to Pre-Planning. If you feel it is too hard to discuss funeral arrangements at this time, just think how difficult it would be for your loved ones at a time of loss.
