Services
Our Toddler program aims to support the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth of your child. The Toddler classroom is child-centered and is structured to promote each child's developmental goals. Toddlers will have access to age appropriate toys, books, and other learning tools to encourage hands-on learning, mobility, and self-help skills.
Our Junior Pre-K students are beginning their journey into more structured academic activities balanced with hands-on learning that promote discovery and exploration. Children will be introduced to a series of subjects and concepts that include early language and literacy, writing skills, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Our Pre-K curriculum is designed to prepare children for Kindergarten and onwards! Our curriculum goes beyond teaching the core subjects of language arts, math, and science and incorporates creative arts, music, and motor skills development to encourage holistic development.
Our programming also features weekly theme-based units to expand students' knowledge base and interest by introducing them to hands-on science experiments, social studies, and the community around them!Individual observations and assessments are conducted on each child's progress by their teacher. This information is used to prepare individualized lesson plans to ensure children is meeting their age appropriate learning goals.

If your child's 5th birthday falls between September and December of next year, your child is eligible to join our Transitional Kindergarten Program for the upcoming school year! Our T-Kinder program is designed to bridge Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Our carefully crafted curriculum is designed to build a strong academic foundation that is reinforced with positive self-esteem and social-emotional development.
We believe that very few experiences in life could rival the satisfaction of teaching young children. There is no other time in life when so much is learned during a span of a few years. Our teachers are fully qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, and genuinely care about our students. They understand child development and the value of working with parents as a team.

BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE!!!
I'm taking my time to write this review, because of the discrimination that I faced dealing with this daycare.
February 2019 - I called Newport asking about availability for my 2 year old son. The receptionist was friendly and invited me to tour. At the time of my call, there was a tuition special and availability in April. When I arrived, my tour felt rushed. I did not feel like they were trying to "sell" me on the daycare. At the end of the "tour", the director (or whoever) did not tell me about the tuition special. I had to ask for it. Then

My son has been attending since Preschool. He is currently in the Pre-K program. He has learned so much and is currently learning to add and subtract! The teachers are very communicative and whenever there is an issue it is quickly addressed. The director is very helpful and always available. Great staff, great school. I highly recommend it. I am a "helicopter" mom that always looks for my son's best interest and this school has met my standards. Only improvement I'd ask for is the lunch menu, portions are huge for these little guys and he doesn't like most of what is served but they offer a monthly

My child was enrolled at Newport Ave Preschool for over 2 years and I can honestly say that it is one of the BEST preschools around.
There was hardly any staff turnover while we were there (1 maybe 2 aides, but same lead teachers since we enrolled in 2011), the curriculum is academically compatible without being overwhelming, and the staff morale is way above average. The teachers were always enthusiastic (even in the mornings!) which made for a great learning environment. My daughter is starting kindergarten this fall and I am confident that she is more than prepared because of the care and dedication

A wonderful school. We had 5 years with this school between both our children. It has a great vibe between staff ( who seems really happy and enjoying their job), parents and children. Simply put - its a happy, cheery place where everyone has a smile and a warm greeting no matter how busy they are. Excellent supervision, nurturing and academic excellence. I agree with most reviews here. The TV issue.. well, I know they do it 30 min before closing time.
