Rick Hoffman has watched the heating and air conditioning business go from simple, basic equipment, to complex machines that require more training and expertise than ever before. When you are without heat or air our number one priority is to get your system up and running as soon as possible. We have a large inventory of parts in stock to work towards that goal.

Its very seldom that we can not get a system running at least temporarily until new parts arrive. Having worked in all areas of the heating business Rick enjoys the service calls the most. All of the high-efficiency systems of today need to be properly serviced and adjusted to make sure they are safe, reliable, and reaching the energy-saving potential they were designed for.
Services
For over 30 years, Hoffman Heating and Cooling has been providing professional, quality service to the Elk River, Nowthen, St. Francis, Anoka, Coon Rapids, Oak Grove, Zimmerman and other local areas, servicing your heating and air conditioning needs. Recently recognized on Angie's List, we have a proven history of satisfied customers and referrals.
One of the questions I am often asked is How often should I service my furnace or ac unit? In the field, I would say most times with equipment under 15 years old that every two years would suffice. AC units that run from the first hot day all summer without a break may need yearly service as they tend to get plugged with debris quicker.
Our heating went out in the middle of the night. We called Rick first thing in the morning and he came within a couple of hours. He fixed the problem, gave us a few tips, and told us to call him in a week just to be sure the problem didn't reoccur. It was a refreshing experience of honesty and awesome customer service.

Rick came highly recommended by a coworker of mine. I called him up when my furnace stopped blowing and he came out the next day, first thing in the morning. He came in for a quick look at the motor, and found that a capacitor was cracked/broken and that the motor would need to be replaced.
He said he would call around to try to find the motor, and come back after his next service call. He found the new motor somewhere locally, though, and picked it up and let me know he would be back much sooner than expected. He removed the entire blower and replaced it within 15 minutes. He even cleaned out

Came out right away to fix my broken AC and helped me fix a fan and wiring issue with the thermostat.
