The agency's first priority is to recognize the dignity of all human beings and strive to provide the highest quality of service to those who come to us in need. Family Counseling Services' mission is to provide counseling and supportive services to individuals, children and families to improve the quality of their life at home and in the community.

Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes (FCSFL), incorporated in 1962 as a non-profit single service provider of general counseling serving children, individuals and families.
Services
Our professional staff work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples to promote resiliency and emotional growth. Masters-level therapists provide healing centered services to address trauma, abuse and/or loss as well as provide therapeutic support for acute and ongoing mental health concerns, substance abuse, relational concerns as well as many other life challenges.
Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes provides assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children for residents of Ontario and Wayne County. The DVP goal is to interrupt the cycle of family violence by providing survivor centered and survivor driven services through a trauma-informed lens with the goal of improving the quality of life both in the home and the community.
Project Promise provides Community Support and education to pregnant and parenting teens and young adults ages 13-24. Join a class in Parenting Pathways, Play Academy, Mommy Masters, or Baby College! Parenting is tough, and we are here to help you navigate this journey. Join classes such as Parenting during the Pandemic, Parenting Resilient Children, or One on One Parent Coaching.
We want to provide a safe place for individuals and families, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and promote a more inclusive community. The LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning) Program offers support and advocacy services to the LGBTQ community as well as community education, training and awareness to businesses, services providers, and schools throughout the Finger Lakes area.
The Domestic Violence Accountability Program for Men (DVAP) at Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes is a 26 or 52 week accountability program for men who have a history of domestic violence. To participate in our Domestic Violence Accountability Program, a person must be referred through the court system.
