Sunset Garage took over the space on Kains from Tony's Auto Repair, where I'd been going more then 10 years after being referred to Dave, a fellow Prius owner and Toyota expert, among other car makes.
The landlord pretended to extend the lease for Tony's Auto Repair and asked Dave and team all kinds of advice for renovating the shop. But their real intention was to steal Tony's shop business and customers. Customers like me called the shop and were tricked into thinking it was still Tony's when it was a completely different business. I found the real Tony's again, relocated to a better space in

Came in during my winter break to visit family. Suspension started to squeak, figured it was the lower Ball joints. Dropped off my car at the place, friendly guy did the paperwork with me. Came back in the next day and it was all done. Just the front two lower Ball joints. Reasonable prices, fast service, professional and friendly. Didn't try to upcharge me on anything besides what actually needed to be charged. No other issues popped up after going for a quick trip with the car after the repairs. If you are getting repairs, make sure you ask for the old parts back to ensure the job was done and

Andre treats all his customers like family . Including his technicians . Ever since I found his garbage when it was in millbrae. I have been taking my cars to him whenever there is a little problem or a check engine light . He will honestly diagnose . Just took my car to his new shop . Replaced fuel filter Had an old radiator hose needed replacement. Did a radiator flush also . Fast service had car back on the road in a couple of hours .

I just took my car in for a Smog Test and it PASSED!!
The 2 previous other "test facilities" said I failed and needed MAJOR $$$$ to repair before it could pass.
I called about 3pm in the afternoon, and the Owner/Manager told me to "come on down!" Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions in a truthful and timely Manner!
As is turned out the Service was quick, reliable and was I driving off with my PASSED Smog Certificate!! No repairs needed!
I can't highly recommend Sunset Garage in San Bruno!! I will definitely be back for any car

I’ve come to this shop twice now, once to do a transmission service and again recently to replace my camshaft sensor and timing belt. These guys are very efficient, kind, and knowledgable. Both times, they have finished exactly when they said they would and their estimates were all accurate. My car has never had any issues after their services and I appreciate them greatly! Very honest and kind people.

As a mechanic myself (I restore cars for fun and profit, and have since 1976). I played a little dumb in talking with them. I wanted to gauge honesty and knowledge. They pretty much failed on both accounts. I was looking for a garage to do some work for the wife's car that cannot wait while I am on the East Coast parts buying. Well, this is not the place. I would not trust them to change oil in one of my unrestored beaters . . . do your own homework, but do not say you were not warned.

Midas was closed for the day for some reason, and they were my go to….I think I found a new one!!! The guys at the shop were so professional and kind. The dealership wanted $700 to change the thermostat in my son’s car! Are you kidding me!! I took it to Sunset and they replaced the thermostat and added coolant parts labor $243!!! I mean they did not take advantage of me being a girl!! I will now take all my non warranty repairs to them!!! No doubt!! They are super sweet to boot too!! Very happy I have piece of mind that my kid can drive to Idaho and not break down!! Thank you!!!!!
