Our mission is to support and nurture the special bond between our human clients and their pets by helping make sure our patients live lives that are as healthy and happy as possible. We treat each and every pet as if it were own and we do our best to treat their owners with the same compassion we expect.
At Angleton Veterinary Clinic we strive to give 110% to you and your pet. Led by Dr. Sherry D. (Dodson) Clark, we support you and your pet during the good times and the difficult times. We understand the special role your animal plays in your life, so we not only treat his or her health issues, we also do what we can to prevent them.

Services
Serving Brazoria County for more than 30 years, Angleton Veterinary Clinic originally was a mixed (large and small) animal practice under the direction of Dr. L.W. Venhaus. Times changed, and in 1994, it was purchased by Sherry D. (Dodson) Clark, D.V.M., whose top priorities are quality patient care and client satisfaction.
EKG monitor will give us a picture of your pet's heart rhythm; as well as tells us your pet's respiratory rate, pulse, and oxygenation. Dr. Clark will perform surgeries including, lump removal, bladder stone removal, and many more soft tissue procedures. Dr. Clark also performs surgeries like patellar luxation repair and select other orthopedic procedures.
Is your pet scratching, itching, licking, or chewing on themselves? Living in south Texas, we get a large quantity of canine and feline pets with allergies and dermatology needs. The most common allergies we see are airborne allergies or flea allergies. Living in humidity and dealing with an itching pet can be very frustrating for the owner and the pet.
Angleton Veterinary Clinic is your dog's or cat's "home away from home, " when your special friend cannot accompany you on a vacation, business trip, or family outing. Our kennel technicians are continually on duty and have the professional experience and personal commitment to ensure that your pet receives the same affection and friendship he or she is used to getting from you.
You never know when an accident or an emergency is about to happen to your beloved pet. Within minutes your pet can become very critical and unstable and need emergency care at that very moment. At Angleton Veterinary Clinic, we want you to feel comfortable and confident in our staff and Dr. Clark to give your pet the best medical care possible and the best client service to you.

Always great care for my critters. They often know the dog's name, but not mine. 😝
I had a very old, frail and temperamental rat terrier, that would lash out, due to being nearly blind and deaf. There was one that he just loved and could handle him all day. Dr. Sherry is the best; Most caring, conscientious and intelligent vet that A&M ever produced.

I changed vets because my dog became extremely ill and no one there was available to help me. There was a stand-in vet that was limited in what they could do and I feel there should be someone there at all times that can write prescriptions. This was truely a life and death situation so I was forced to go to another vet to basically save her life.

Dr. Clark and her staff made the hardest moment in our life bearable. Dr. Clark said something that will resonate with me till I die. She said. “The one wish anyone has for those they love is that they don’t… feel pain, or at the very least you can take away their pain. Today you have chosen to show the upmost act of love, to take away the pain.” Then she cried right along side us as we said goodbye. Love these people! They will forever be our vet!

Positive: Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
When our current vet didn't have time for us in our darkest hour, Doctor Dodson-Clark and her team was there for us. They worked us in and made saying good-bye to our beloved dachshund of 17 years as easy and painless as possible. We will forever be grateful for their care and compassion.

Horrible. Tried to charge me $311 for a "bottle" of apoquel (allergy medication that ANY OTHER VET will sell for $80).... We've been taking apoquel for 4+ years, lived in two states, seen multiple vets and surgeons, and I've NEVER been charged even remotely close to $300 for this medication.... talk about only being in the business for money. Go elsewhere. Maybe they're gouging customers to afford the new building next door?????

You have to watch this office or they will run tests on your dog TWICE a year instead of the recommended once a year. The Vet pre-charged me for some services and then our dog passed away and she REFUSED to give a refund or even speak to me. She offered me a free bag of dog food instead. I'd go somewhere else even if you have to drive for a while.

I took my 7 month old puppy there 2/7/19 on a referral from a friend thinking it must be a good place, I called and spoke to the front desk person 3 times before I even scheduled and was impressed, but my visit today was quite the opposite...the owner and Veterinarian Sherry Dodson was rude, disrespectful, condescending, she belittled me, made snide remarks about me bringing my dogs supplements to show her, she made me feel unwelcome and made me feel as if I had put her and her staff out by asking them to interact with my dog in a calm quiet way because she's a working dog in training, she

During Hurrican Harvey we were 100 miles from home and my dog needed his monthly heartwarm. I went up to the nearest Petco and pleaded with the secretary who asked Darbies vet if you could please call in one month supply of heartwarm and was told no. WOW! I immediately found a new vet. I do not recommend this vet. Don't waist your time!

I don't recommend this vet clinic for skittish cats. I've taken my 2 y.o. cat twice & while the 1st visit was just ok, the 2nd was very stressful for him. The receptionist took my cat out of his carrier in the waiting room to weigh him while strangers & other pets like dogs were busily causing disturbances. In the exam room, there was a bookcase, my cat loves to climb. Of course my cat is going to dash around & try to hide, esp. after the waiting room trauma. That kind of environment may be fine for dogs & some cats, but doesn't work for us.
