For the year 2020, Dr. Cathy Cupples was appointed to replace Dr. Cara Campbell as the veterinarian on the board of experts.

Services
We offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services from exams to spay and neuter as well as other complex surgeries for your pet, using state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained staff. Schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians: Dr. Cupples and Dr. Pirela. When your pet feels ill, one of our veterinarians: Dr. Cupples and Dr. Pirela, use many tools in addition to a physical exam to help diagnose the cause.
Dr. Cathy Cupples (pictured on the left) started this veterinary hospital as a way to not only perform the medicine that she thought best, but to also be a bigger part of our wonderful Pearland Community. Anyone that has known Dr. Cupples over the past ten years that she has been a veterinarian here, knows how much she truly cares about them and their pets.
Myranda Fendall is our absolute "Go-To" and we are so lucky to have her with us! She is an absolutely excellent leader and works hard to not only make herself better, but everyone else in our animal hospital around her. She is always smiling and making everyone laugh and helping our veterinarians. She is great at handling complex animals and brings a very important skill set to our team.
Above and Beyond is a newer hospital est. 04/2019 and is ran by a doctor who has been a part of the Pearland community for the over the past ten years. Pearland has been very good to Dr. Cupples and we wanted to start a business here in order to give back to the community. As Pearland continues to grow, we promise to not only be a leader in pet care, but in the community as well.

I love bringing my fur baby to Above and Beyond! They definitely do their name justice. They were so attentive and caring with my fur baby when she was sick. Absolutely love the staff there, Dr.Cupples and Myranda are amazing! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for staff that will listen and care for your pets.

We have had numerous experiences with this vet over the last couple of years and each one has been great. We had a rough summer with having to euthanize our dog plus a stray dog and they showed us nothing but compassion in every aspect. They always do what they can to fit our sick babies in on a short notice or give us some tips to hold us over until we can be seen. When we first moved to the area we were seeing a different vet and it seemed like we never left spending less than $400….Above and Beyond’s prices are very reasonable. I followed Dr. Cupples from her last location. One of my dogs has several complicated conditions (heart, kidney, liver, and collapsing trachea.) He has been seen there a lot in the last few months. I am impressed by the caring vets, techs, and front desk staff. Refills are very prompt, phone calls are smooth, and visits are efficient. Dr. Cupples is very knowledgeable. She gives you all the options and listens to your concerns, I never feel rushed. I think everyone there loves him almost as much as we do! They always fit him in for a visit when his condition turns serious and call to check on him

Above & Beyond has provided the best care for my two dogs. They help work me in at a moments notice. I love that they are open on Saturday mornings. They send me reminders to help me keep up with my pet care vaccines. Dr. Cupples and Dr. Pirela take such good care of my dogs and ease my concerns.

Above and Beyond truly does live up to their namesake. They’ve taken the utmost care of our cats, from taking a little time to check in personally after a visit, or helping us find long term care solutions for our older cat. Myranda is incredibly kind and attentive with our younger cats, and Dr. Cupples is fully committed to giving them the attention and care they need. This team doesn’t just treat you and send you on your way. They’re fully invested as if your pets are their own, and that’s about as above and beyond as it gets.

Dr Couples and her team are incredible. Their attention to detail and custom care for each animal is a welcomed warmth. My dog is 14 years old and loves going to see them. Dr Couples knows all the latest things to help address his many aging issues and is sensitive to what he needs and what is best for him instead of just throwing everything imaginable at him. I always send anyone who asks their way, and several coworkers drive from all over Houston to come to above & beyond!

Over the years, Dr Cupples has kept my pets healthy and happy. When the end came for my two 18 year old cats, she was so caring, sensitive and such a huge support. Today, Dr Cupples provides excellent care for my dog Oakley and cat Cody. I’ve been to many veterinarians, and none has matched the kindness and experience that Dr Cupples and her loving staff have. Above and Beyond truly lives up to its name.

Myranda is just the sweetest tech ever! I always feel comfortable trusting her with my fur baby. She always makes sure my baby is comfortable. & she’s also super nice and knows her stuff! I also love the environment there and the receptionists upfront are also really nice too. Definitely take your fur babies here!!!

Thank you for giving me more time with our boy! This is the face of a guy who had a hard night. His heart disease progressed to congestive heart failure late last night and we rushed him the the emergency vet… and transferred him to see Dr. Cupples this morning. The staff worked hard and gave him oxygen, lasix, and TLC. From the front desk staff to the techs, they are all so caring. I appreciate you all more than I can say. Thank you for all you do!!!

The ENTIRE group is fantastic!!! I took Mamba, my 8mo old American Bulldog in for his first visit (yes, I know I am late but there is a back story) and they all made me and Mamba feel comfortable. Dr. Cupples… is the sweetest and prettiest vet ever! Kudos to an amazing group of ladies!
