Alex (instagram @aroselutz) did an AMAZING AMAZING job with my blonde dye job. I'm naturally a dirty blonde, and I wanted to go lighter and brighter. I'm also pretty low maintenance so I wanted something to last long. Alex knew exactly what to do and I was, and still am many months later, super happy with her work. She's super talented. Not to mention really sweet!

Deleted my previous review as I reached out earlier this month via email to Society and requested a refund. I didn't want to leave them with a 1 star review and opted to delete it. (Please note that Society did not ask me to delete at any given time. I had willingly said I would, which I did.)

I continue coming back because Spencer is such a talented stylist. I recently had a baby and was feeling drab, so decided to invest in some extensions. Spencer installed 22 inch curly hair via a beaded sew in method. Love them. Was the exact pick me up I needed. The best part is It only took about two hours. Looks so natural. Even my family couldn't tell! The hair itself is pricy but it lasts several weeks, is high quality and actually looks and behaves like real curls.

Will is the best! I went in for a color correction and was hoping to go more blonde to fix the color that I was not happy with. During my consultation, Will listened to what I wanted and gave me his valuable opinion and recommendations. He suggested something similar to what I wanted that would not compromise

Last Friday I had an appointment with Spencer and it was the worst hair experience I’ve ever had. I explained to her that my hair was damaged from previous colorings & heat applications and showed her a photo of exactly what I wanted from a previous customer. First, my hair was back brushed which no stylist should ever do and then I was left under the dryer, by myself, for over 45 minutes! After washing my hair she then aggressively brushed it while wet which completely thinned it out! It felt like I lost half of my hair and it looked horrible! Amel is the absolute best colorist in LA. I have been with her for over 10 years for three reasons. First, she is always on the cutting edge when it comes to new techniques and styles. They both did a great job on my cut and doing blonde highlights. My only complaint is that I've never spent more on my hair besides my wedding. It cost over $400 for a cut and to fix highlights. Then factor in 20% tip. I'm so bummed out about the inflated prices here. If you have the money then go for it but know that it will be one of the most expensive places to go to.

I still came back, even after my stylist Lindsay moved across country. Here's my very short review of Kelsey: best haircut I've had in Los Angeles in 25 years.
And! No one has EVER in all my life styled my curls, one curl at a time, so perfectly! I usually (and all other curly people do too) go straight home and shower after a haircut. To do it myself, remove all the weird products, and see what the cut looks like "for real"
Kelsey made it look gorgeous even after all the snipping and combing through that usually ruin the curls until it's washed again.

They say $300 for full highlights. Don't be fooled. That's just the color. Gloss/toner is extra. Even a blow dry is extra. $95 extra...seriously? Five minutes of blow drying is...$95. And if I declined, was I just supposed to walk out with wet hair? The color is good but my texture is trashed. My normally silky smooth hair feels coarse. I spent way more than I wanted to.

Willie is the best! he always does the EXACT coloring i want and what i show him through photos!!! I went to get my hair done today and it was amazing! I was hesitant about trying a new salon, but i had an amazing experience. I wanted to go for a darker look than what I originally came in, and I wanted to start my hair healing journey. I found this place on yelp this Tuesday and was instant booked today on Saturday. The staff were friendly and very attentive to me, which provided an amazing experience. My stylist Jillian was amazing in trying to get me to the hair I wanted, but like most things it's a process. If you come here, seeing Jillian is a must. I love my hair. Till next time!

I moved to LA in January 2020 and was looking for a salon and stylist. I went on Yelp and read reviews for a bunch of local places and found Society Salon and Kelsey. The salon is great - very clean and staff is friendly. Kelsey is awesome! She's been my stylist now for a year and half and has been great with every service I've gotten! Highly recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE. I saw Spencer. She will waste your time with a consult tell you that she will be able to do your hair and make it as you wish, and then waste 30 minutes of your time. Today she did this and then proved to tell me that she was too scared to follow through with any kind of coloring. It’s a waste of time and she is obviously a newbie. And very rude. 🤢

My visit to Society Salon was perfect. They had the best energy and were so informative about what was going to be done to my hair. The entire salon was busy but they made sure I felt valued as a customer. I got a regular woman's hair cut and it turned out great. I would definitely recommend this salon you will not be disappointed! I'm definitely going to find myself back here again!
