Services
Since our founding in 1999, Westport Linen has become the largest privately-owned healthcare laundry in the tri-state region. We serve the healthcare industries of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas with three modern plants. Through them, we are capable of processing 50 million pounds of healthcare linens per year.
John is co-owner of Westport Linen. He began his industrial laundry career in 1982 with Red Stick Linen. Starting in uniform and restaurant sales he was asked to enter the management trainee program, which provided him with experience in production and route management. In 1984 John moved to Baton Rouge to work for Kean's Healthcare Linen, a subsidiary of Red Stick Linen.

All items are processed in compliance with health and safety standards set by HLAC, The Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, and the EPA. Westport Linen provides hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices and long-term care facilities with quality linen and medical uniforms at a competitive price.
Payroll costs for wages paid to hourly employees who handle linen, including laundry production, soiled sort, washroom, flatwork, ironing, tumble dry operation, etc. Employees who handle linen inspection, linen control, janitorial services, and internal linen distribution. Westport Linen provides all detergents, alkalis, bleach, sour, fabric softener, bacteriostatic agents, starch, etc.
Sound business practices are integrated to benefit both the environment we live in and the customers we serve. We do everything we can to keep our costs down while protecting the environment. Westport Linen heats incoming water by reclaiming 95% of the heat from waste water and boiler discharge. Many of our textiles are designed to be washed in lower water temperatures and can endure over 100 washings.
