At Kanreikai Karate, we practice and teach karate according to Japanese tradition. We ensure respectful and safe behavior with all our students and help to perpetuate the Japanese tradition of our art throughout the organization. Our karate classes for children are aimed at two distinct groups: Little Ninja Karate Program for 5 to 7 yrs old and Juniors Karate Program for children 8 to 12 yrs old.

Our teenagers discover the benefits of karate, a martial art that helps them channel their energy and increase their self-confidence. Our adults enjoy being able to do high intensity cardiovascular fitness in a friendly and respectful atmosphere.

At Kanreikai Karate, we practice and teach karate according to Japanese tradition. We ensure respectful and safe behavior with all our students and help to perpetuate the Japanese tradition of our art throughout the organization. In other words, we train together and support each other to develop our skills and always go beyond our limits!
As part of the World Kanreikai Karate Organization, each stage of training is designed to gradually improve the student's physical performance, concentration, and self-confidence. New students wear a white belt. This belt illustrates their desire to learn and improve. At this stage, each student's main concern should be to establish a regular training schedule, and comply with rules of conduct at the dojo.
The Kanreikai Karate Demonstration Team performs at various community and social events to bring awareness of the benefits, discipline, and hard work associated with the martial arts. They are trained in special practice sessions using techniques above the standard class curriculum. Demonstrations vary in length and contain a sample of basic karate training, self-defense techniques and black belt forms.
Kanreikai Karate competes at regional, national, and international Karate tournaments. We participate in Kata, Weapon Kata, Semi-Knockdown Fighting, and Knockdown Fighting events. Competition is not mandatory, but most students can grow by competing, if only once in their life. If you or your child are interested in competing, talk with our Instructors and they will start you on your path.
Experience and certified instructors ensure that every student discovers the world of martial arts and all of its benefits while having fun. Classes end with games and light fights (facing the instructors) that allow them to experience a combat situation safely. Beginners develop, balance, self confidence, and concentration in a safe and inclusive environment.
