The "Counseling Relationship" is the most important ingredient contributing to the success of a client achieving his/her goals. I believe in maintaining an optimum level of trust, compassion, empathy, and understanding in sessions, thus allowing clients to freely explore their issues. Ultimately, the work done in counseling is done by for the client.
Identifying which issues are most important, and committing to agreed upon assignments, is necessary for client progress and healing. The counseling relationship simply provides a safe and caring environment for clients to reach their goals. Sessions are guided using a directive, person-centered counseling style.
