My son has been attending for 7 months and absolutely loves it. He looks forward to classes, learning the moves, practicing, and being with his peers. The coaches are knowledgeable, passionate, excited, and… patient but with high expectations of everyone. They are very attentive and encouraging with their students. I recommend Zombie BJJ to everyone.

I was traveling through Texas for work and wanted to train. I found this gym online. Professor Joseph was extremely warm and welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. Everyone at the gym was friendly and respectful to each other and to me as a visitor. Had some great rolls and learned a couple tricks I can take home.

Great place all around. Awesome teaching. Good technical rolls. Hilarious people. Everyone's great. No meat head egos. Even if you have an injury, no one will maliciously hurt you. you're there to learn jiujitsu? you'll learn jiujitsu. you may even get punched in the face if you decide to stay for striking

Not to say this a bad gym. Gym staff seemed to know what they were doing. I came in to talk about getting a membership and have a one on one. Im pretty excited about the opportunity to learn something new. To learn about bjj and striking since on there website it says they teach striking as well . So i come in. Im ask to sit for a bit which is no issue cause there is a class going on. After the class ends and a new one is about to begin. A gentleman comes to talk to me, and he shows me a few moves. Im confused at this point cause we just go straight into it. I dont know much about thw sport or

Been training here for a few months with my daughter and we love it! The coaches are incredibly skilled, professional, and always take the time to make sure everyone is learning. Now all of my kids are training here and looking forward to every session! I've made friends out of people I probably would have never met and the academy is a small home away from home. Hands down best place to train bjj in and around Abilene.

I have trained at most of the gyms in Abilene. This is hands down the best gym that I have stepped into. The atmosphere is phenomenal, the coaching staff really knows their stuff. I have learned more in the short amount of time (that i should have done a long time ago) than i have at my many many years at previous gyms. On top of everything else the mats and equipment are super clean. The best Martial Arts gym any one can ask for.

The first thing I noticed was the impressive facility, which is spacious and more than large enough to handle the class sizes. The people I trained with were courteous and friendly. The instructor was attentive and very knowledgeable. There were a number of experienced grapplers there. In my hometown, I'm used to classes with mostly white belts and blue belts, and the occasional purple or brown belt. Here, I saw several purple and brown belts, but the white belts were skilled enough to where it was clear to me that promotions were earned, not just given away. All of these observations led me to

Our family loves this gym. Both of my girls (7 & 13) have been going for 5 months. They both love it and can't wait to get to go once school is out. They both started meek and timid and now their confidence pours over from the mats into real life. I can't thank this gym enough for what it has meant to our family. I also started training after seeing the difference in my girls and I get why they are excited to go. You get to lose yourself in the hour-hour and a half of training. No thinking of work, or other problems going on. It's a big giant family there. From kids to adults.

I'm from Colorado and was in town visiting for the weekend. Called up Zombie BJJ to see if I could drop in for a class and they didn't disappoint! Huge shoutout to Zombie BJJ for letting me keep up on and expand my BJJ training while away from home visiting family in Abilene, Texas. Great instruction and awesome rolls. Highly recommend this gym!!

Coming into town for one night and training there over a period of time is two different things although the owner can be pleasant his students are bit brutal on the practice mat. I understand that on a competition mat things get a little rough. But the way I understand it on a practice mat everybody is supposed to be brothers and sisters and treat each other as such unfortunately at zombie Brazilian jiu-jitsu that is not the case every man on that Matt or at least a large majority of them have an overflow of testosterone in them . Trying to find out who is king of the match and that's putting

I take my boys here and we love it!!!! They train hard and have a lot of fun! It is a well disciplined and very humble sport to get your kids involved in. They are taught they need to work hard, not only in the gym, but in everything they do. It has proven affective against bullies this year, only to defend themselves. They are taught never to pick fights and to always defend themselves and those unable to defend themselves. They are encouraged to compete and not discouraged if they lose. All the instructors here have been amazing.
My husband also trains when he can, and if he could, he'd be doing

Zombie bjj is an RMNU affiliate. Owner/operator/head coach Joseph Tonche is a purple belt and one of the best in the state. His instruction is high above his level. You can't judge skill level in this gym by belt color, as most practitioners are much more talented. If you just want color on your belt this is not the place, belt promotion is slow, and you feel that you have earned something when you get it. The family mentality here is second to none. You will feel like a brother or sister when you walk in. As far as bjj is concerned they are the best in the area. The only team that consistently
