Our national team is constantly updating policies and procedures to keep patients and caregivers safe. We work with you to determine the best approach to care for your loved one, including support for families and caregivers. Our diverse medical care team works together to manage pain, increase comfort, and support every aspect of our patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Thank you very much, Oasis Healthcare staff, [for] taking care of our mom through her end of life. To the doctors, nurses, CNA's, and all the staff - thank you for taking such great care of [my loved one] in his time of need.
Services
We offer a variety of career opportunities in the Hospice industry including RNs, LVN/LPNs, Hospice Aides, Chaplains, Social Workers, Marketing Professionals, Administrative Personnel, and Volunteers. We invite applications from qualified candidates who enjoy working with a team of highly skilled professionals and who are committed to serving others with integrity and compassion.
There are many different volunteer opportunities available working with patients and families, as well as non-patient-related activities for those volunteers who would be more comfortable with such tasks. Some options include companionship, reading to patients, light housekeeping, meal delivery, alternative therapies, playing cards, office/clerical services, and our 11th hour program.
It's natural for families and friends to grieve for loved ones who are experiencing a life-limiting illness. The process often begins before death occurs. Oasis Bereavement Services are available for people who are coping with losing a loved one. Our staff is committed to working closely with families who are going through the grieving process.
As part of its effort to the community, Oasis offers a variety of programs that are open to the public. These include support groups, classes, and special events. Some of the classes offer continuing education credits for professionals. However, all activities are open to everyone, and anyone is welcome to attend.
Hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy that focuses on palliative rather than curative care and quality rather than quantity of life. Oasis Healthcare provides hospice services in a patient's place of residence, be that a private home, a nursing home, or an assisted living facility.

Persons eligible for hospice care include individuals who have a life-limiting or terminal illness and have decided, with the consent of their family physician, to receive comfort care for their condition.

In August my precious mother was taken under the wings of the angels of Oasis Hospice staff. They provided so much care, love, support and were their without even having to call them. They took such good care of my momma that having them with all of us, although loosing a loved one is so hard, but they were their for every moment. Whenever my mom would need anything, they were their, anytime we (family) needed anything, they were their. I cannot say enough about the quality of the Oasis Team. My heartfelt love to them all.

This is a joke. My mom, Ethelene Hallman was begged to sign up with them. She is 98 and not an invalid by any means. They finally told her if she would sign up they could save her money because they would provide all the feminine supplies and her meds. Not signed up because she needed them. They should be put out of business due to their harassment of senior citizens.

I would not recommend-I was health care admin during working years —
oasis did not come when scheduled - most visits not sure who would come or when -constantly out of supplies - they are located in Moody so very inconvenient to provide adequate or prompt care in most Birmingham locations -
Understaffed - very unprofessional the best and only good thing about oasis is the chaplain - he is wonderful !!!!!!! His visits were greatly appreciated !

I have been under the care of Oasis for one month and my experience has been horrible. I am dying from congestive heart failure and autonomic dysfunction and I am in terrible pain. I had 15 years of successful pain management with opiates and opioids but the Oasis affiliated-doctor will only prescribe a nerve medication that I’ve had allergic reactions to in the past, but I’ve taken it as directed and, yes, I’m having allergic reactions to it again. I have never abused any medications and, if I understand the opioid crisis correctly, the people who overdose and die are injecting opioids â€
