I'm a New Jersey transplant now living in Evanston, Illinois with my husband and six- and ten-year-old kids/comedians. I fell in love with photography when I got my first camera at age eight and began documenting our family road trips. I started my photography business in 2009. I love working with babies, kids and families.
I try to make my sessions fun and relaxed, and I'm not afraid to put a shoe on my head if it gets me a smile. When I'm not taking pictures, I spend my time playing guitar and binge-watching Netflix while eating movie-sized boxes of frozen Junior Mints.

I recommend booking your newborn session in your second trimester to make sure I have availability around your due date. Studio newborn sessions are ideally done within the first 10 days. During this period babies sleep very deeply and can be molded into all those cute, curled up poses without waking.
In-home, lifestyle sessions can be done with babies up to 12 weeks old. I recommend booking your newborn session as early as possible to make sure I have availability around your due date, but if your baby is due soon or has already arrived, don't worry! Send me a message and I'll see if I can fit you in.
I want kids (and parents!) to have fun during my photo sessions. I don't expect kids to sit perfectly still and look straight into the camera in every photo. I love to capture their energy and natural expressions. Kids are encouraged to play, laugh and be themselves. I'll send you what to wear tips before your session, and I'm always happy to give feedback prior to your session if you send me photos of the outfits you're considering.
Sitting up but not yet crawling-usually around 7-9 months. Babies at this stage are full of personality and, because they aren't crawling yet, they're cute, captive little subjects!. I have a selection of clothing in size 6-12 months in neutral colors that you may use for your session, or you can of course bring your own.
Kid sessions can be done in studio or on-location. Outdoor sessions are great for capturing natural, candid shots of kids being kids and are perfect for toddlers who are constantly on the move. Kids are encouraged to be themselves-I don't expect them to sit still and smile at the camera for every picture!

Pam has taken photos of my family for over three years, in both outdoor settings as well as in her studio. We have three very active children 6 and under, so photo shoots tend to fill me with dread. Pam always puts everyone at ease with her calm and flexibility. She works quickly and has an incredible eye for that perfect shot, which makes all the difference when young kiddos are involved. Pam goes above and beyond. She scouts the perfect place with the best light, brings props, and toys to coax smiles. She is endlessly patient with kids and with getting groups to all smile and look at the camera together. I usually don't Ike pictures of myself but she always manages to take some I like and am happy to share. If you are considering using her, go for it. You won't regret it.

Pam is a baby whisperer! My family and I have gone to her twice for newborn shoots and we have been so happy with our photos each time. She is incredibly patient, intuitive with what works right, professional, and very easy to work with. How she works with babies is amazing. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting a photo shoot!

Pam is simply the best! We've been doing photo shoots of our three kids with Pam for about 5 years. Newborn shoots, outdoor fall photo shoots, etc. Everything she does is excellent. She's great with kids and always manages to find adorable shots of my little rascals, who can be less than perfect at photo shoots!

Pam was wonderful to work with. We scheduled get to work with our son's estimated arrival date, but when he showed up three weeks early she was easy to reschedule with.
Her home studio is warm and she takes beautiful, well composed naturalistic shots. Even better, her personality is as warm as her studio and the two hours we spent with her flew by.
