I strive to improve the well being of my clients by providing attentive, compassionate and professional massage. People have very different tolerances and preferences in pressure (from very light to very deep) and different reasons for seeking therapeutic massage and bodywork (pain relief, improved movement, relaxation).
My training allows me to address each client's needs individually. By combining a wide variety of massage techniques and modalities, I work to get the best results with the least pain possible and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Orna Shohet has been certified in therapeutic massage and body work by Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA, and Nationally Certified in Thrapeutic Massage and Bodywork Since 1998.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable.

As always, I had an excellent massage at Light Hands Therapeutic Massage. Orna is a skilled massage therapist who knows just how much pressure to use. I need deep pressure to relieve my various aches, and even when I am suffering from a miniscus tear in my knee, she knows how to heal around that area while carefully avoiding the knee area. She also uses her other skill (I don't remember what it's called) of holding the body in place for an extended period, magically relieving the pain. Orna is a kind, generous, thoughtful healer who I recommend highly.
