Services
Grogan & Company's core values of integrity, kindness, and above all, "doing the right thing" carry through in all we do for our clients and for each other. We love our business and we can't wait to share it with you! Michael began his career in the art auction business in 1978 at Sotheby's New York.
Typically, we invite you to attend auctions at our Boston gallery where you may register to bid in person and participate in the live auction experience. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no bidders in the room on sale day this auction season. We offer several alternate bidding options.
Whether it's a single item or an entire collection, our experienced team of specialists is here to guide you through the auction process. Please contact us today to schedule a complimentary consignment evaluation. If you are looking to sell, we are currently accepting fine art, jewelry, and silver consignments for our upcoming auctions.

Excellent service and friendly staff who will take the time to answer your questions. When I had a concern, Michael, the owner, addressed it directly and resolved it immediately with a solution. Highly recommended.

After having purchased an item at the fall auction it fell short of expectations and I was obviously disheartened. Michael from Grogan reached out because he was sorry to hear about my experience. In a flash he had help to fix the situation and have an upsetting situation go to a great one. I'm so happy that I went through Grogan as opposed to another auction house. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Run Away. Avoid if buying or consigning. Clever descriptions with complete lack of responsibility. If he owns it..it will do fine. If you own it...not so good.

I won two prints and a painting in the December auction and had a very positive experience along the way as I dealt with Grogan & Co. I found everyone to be polite and professional including the time spent bidding over the phone. I was slightly concerned about the best way to get my items to my car (parking is very close in the Boston Common Garage) and was very happy when Michael and the auction coordinator brought them out to my car on Charles Street for me.

As the other reviewer mentioned, there are dogs around - I think that just adds to the friendly, family-run environment that fits

Staff are harried and less than helpful.
somewhat disorganised and understaffed during auctions.

you are an auction house--you are taking a cut from both buyer and
seller. try earning that money by providing thoughtful service and
extending a bit of courtesy toward auction-goers.

FYI: please and thank you are mandatory during any transaction.

after we made our purchases, we assumed you would help us to locate the items we purchased.

please do not speak to us, or anyone else, with pizza hanging from your mouth. thank you.

the stars are for the items we purchased and for the grogan&apos
