Services
At the law office of John Hargrave and Associates, we are here for the sole purpose of helping our clients find practical, workable solutions to get out of debt. If you are feeling the stress of a heavy debt burden, we understand what you are going through. With a practice stretching back more than 30 years, we have the experience and ability to help.
When you are struggling under a crushing debt burden, it is hard to make good decisions. Your debt burden not only impacts your finances but can also affect your relationships with loved ones and your physical well-being. Having a debt burden is like having a 50 pound weight on your back. For a while it can be tolerable, but after long enough, the stress from carrying all the additional weight will wear you down.
There are two options out there that seem like a good alternative to bankruptcy: debt consolidation and debt settlement. Similarly, on the surface, debt settlement sounds like a reasonable alternative to bankruptcy. The idea is that you pay the debt settlement company the money that you would normally pay to your creditors.
Conflict over finances and debt is a major contributor to divorce. Whether you are considering divorce and bankruptcy, going through a divorce and want to seek bankruptcy protection, or you are divorced and now need to file for bankruptcy, knowing how bankruptcy and divorce play off one another can help you make good decisions and protect your right to a sound financial future.
As you accumulate points on your driver's license in New Jersey, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (also known as the Department of Motor Vehicles, or DMV) will impose a surcharge. A DMV surcharge can be costly, and the amount varies, depending on the driving offense. If you cannot afford to pay the DMV surcharges levied by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, the DMV will then suspend your driver's license.

I contacted Mr. Hargrave because I knew he was in business for a long time - at the exact same location - and that stability gave me added confidence in him.
I emailed him my issue and he - promptly - returned my e-mail asking when it was convenient for me to meet with him.
I was then emailed paper work and I was - promptly - contacted by Mr. Hargrave concerning my answers on the paper work.
I was given an appointment within a few days to either come into the office or to talk on the phone - I opted for a phone call.
We spoke for an hour on the day of my appointment and he took his time and

At first, a wonderful experience. Then you dropped the ball and my accounts were tied up for over a month, with NO notice from you. I couldn't afford to pay my bills, and you thoroughly screwed me. Thanks, but no thanks. If I had the funds to take legal action against you at the time, I would have. Now, I'm over it, and will let Karma work her magic. I hope you experience a similar feeling of hopelessness someday. It pains me to even give you one star, you SOB.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hargrave and his Associate, Mr. Daniel Reinganum, during a scheduled consultation. I was referred to Mr. Hargrave's firm by a friend who had engaged the firm, and was extremely happy with the services that were provided.
I found both gentleman to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and able to provide me with a reasonable plan for resolving my problem satisfactorily in just one meeting. While I will need additional legal support to fully resolve my issue, I am now very confident that I have engaged the right firm to ensure a successful outcome.
