Just had a haircut with Tina yesterday and I can say it's the best haircut I ever had. It takes a true artist to understand how to create a new style without overdoing it or underdoing it. Tina created a new style for me that is so counterintuitive, yet so amazing I can't believe no other stylist mentioned it to me for the past 20 years. She is a gifted artist with hair. Can't recommend her enough.

I am a 4 time hair salon owner and Hair Extension Specialist. I have a hard time finding someone at the same level as I am at in the hair extension world to do my hair. I'm super picky and it's not the kind of service you get unless the person is seriously a master at there craft. Tina the owner is!! She is literally my neighbor as my salon boutique is upstairs. I went in for a special conditioning treatment for my long locks. It was very appreciated to have been asked questions about my hair & styling habits, so they could mix a custom hair elixir. My hair looked so fresh after the treatment - especially with the fab blow out - that it seemed like I had a trim. I'm a happy camper!

I cannot put into words how thankful my hair is for Kami, but I'm going to try. She's really a master at her craft. I had bangs for a couple of years and I would never trust anyone else but her with them. Kami's precision is impeccable and I've never walked out of there with less than perfect bangs. If you're ever thinking of cutting them yourself because you think it's easy, PLEASE REFRAIN. Definitely harder than it looks. After coming to her for my bangs, I trusted her with my color and cut as well and she delivered without fail. It always feels amazing & healthy

I went to The Private Room for a braided half updo and I was not disappointed. I don't have too much experience getting my hair done like this but Tina gave me a few options and we played around a bit. They were so nice that they even reloaded my parking meter that was about to expire. Can't wait to come back for the profiber treatment they offer.

After spending $300 for baylage from a stylist that ruined my hair right before my birthday I panicked.. I did some research and found the private room. I saw pictures of Tina's work and I had to go to her! She did a whole color correction and fixed the discoloration in my hair. I could tell she really cared and wanted to not only fix my hair but get me to a good blonde and get the color consistent. She was very knowledge and realistic. At the end, I was amazed at how blonde she got me & managed to keep the integrity of my hair. My hair was perfect for my birthday! Thankyou Tina

I have been a client at the Private Room for three years. Tina and all of her stylists are amazing and I have been to many salons in the area. My hair is longer and in better condition than it has ever been thanks to the Private Room.
Update 10/2015- I tried the Pro Fiber treatment this past Friday and my hair feels amazing!! Love love love it!

Many weeks ago I googled the best bang haircuts in Los Angeles. By all of the positive reviews I read about this place, I went here. Yelpers you were spot on. Kami did her magic and cut my bangs to precision and had a true interest to make them look good. (my hair was all one length, and I was looking for a change) I was genuinely shocked because it was only $20 + tip.) This was no Fantastic Sams by any means. Fast forward a few weeks later, my bangs needed to be trimmed but I didn't want to fight the traffic to get there, so I went to the lady who had did my hair prior; big mistake.

Now, to be fair, my own hairstylist usually cuts my bangs for free (many salons do in order to earn good will with clients, as a trim usually takes 7-10 minutes.) But I couldn't resist the phrase "Bang Station," went ahead and got the voucher.
The first time I went in was a few weeks before the voucher expired. When I went in, I asked if I could come back for my other 4 trims after the expiration date because I probably wouldn't need a cut for a while.

HUGE fan of TPR! I'm a regular and am never anything but completely ecstatic with the end result. Tina does my hair and is always on her A-game and so are the rest of the ladies - Kami & Carly. Literally, not a day goes by that I don't get complemented on how awesome my hair looks. I'm referred to often as the "the girl with great hair." Although I would like to take all the credit - my secret is Raul from the Private Room. If it wasn't for Raul my hair would be an incredibly thick, frizzy, and unruly mess. Raul is incredibly meticulous in his work and has a mastery in hair color technique that is unparalleled. I trust him to no end with my hair.

After the worst hair salon experience of my life with Timon Cana at Giuseppe Franco, I walked one block over to the Private Room with orange hair so I could see it in the light, I had been so traumatized by the prior hairdresser's behavior and work that I could not even go back to the office or look at what she has done.
