Services
Woodrow Hall was built by the Free Masons in 1914. This historic building served as their meeting place for much of the last century. The earliest reference to the Masons dated back to about 1390 AD. The Masons practiced philanthropy throughout this historic Woodlawn community and other surrounding areas.
The Magnolia Room at Woodrow Hall is our latest restoration. Located on the second floor of the historic Masonic Lodge in NE Birmingham at 5504 1st Avenue North, it is perfect for events with up to about 100 guests. It has the same vintage feel with high ceilings, great lighting, shiny 100 year old floors, large beams and century old woodwork.
Woodrow Hall's Compass Ballroom is located on the third floor of this historic Birmingham treasure. If I could give no stars I would. They are treating my niece and nephew horribly. My niece was planning to have her baby shower here however she had a stillborn birth at 30 weeks. No baby, no shower right? Well they are refusing to give them back their money. My niece is already going through a lot dealing with the death of her daughter and now just having this situation dragging out is just causing unnecessary stress on her and her husband. If you ever have anything unfortunate to happen and you're under contract with them, just look for them to keep your money and look the other way.

Basically if you're not having your event on the top floor and they're double booked you are going to get treated like you are less than. We were told one thing when we did our first walk through but when our money was paid our options didn't matter and all of the things we were originally told was changed. The venue is beautiful but If you know you're going to have a small wedding make this place one of your last options.

Although I've never had an event at Woodrow Hall, I've been to two weddings and a dinner rehearsal held there and they've all been beautiful occasions. I had a more hands on experience with the weddings, the maid of honor in one and both a guest and setup crew for another. The staff was always so pleasant and thoughtful. They tended to the needs of the wedding party with urgency, no matter how outrageous or frivolous they were. The food was great and the decorations beautiful. I really like that this venue is all inclusive. You can purchase packages that include everything from the

I want to let everyone know about Brittany Bell at Woodrow Hall. My aunt went down there on Tuesday to book this venue for her 75th birthday. She had her deposit in hand and ready to pay that day. She even offered to pay THAT DAY! My aunt asked a few questions about prices for table clothes and chairs and Brittany told my aunt she would get back to her with prices. My aunt still offered to pay. Brittany told her not to that she would get back to her with prices and she could pay her deposit over the phone. Well here it is exactly TWO DAYS later. My aunt calls to try to get some information on prices
