We are so excited to celebrate with you as you say yes to your dream dress! Please note: Submitting your request does not guarantee availability. Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation phone call, email or text from us. We are an appointment only boutique and require 24 hours notice for all appointments.
We have dresses in our store to try on from size 16-44. Bridal sizing can be a bit tricky, often being 2-4 sizes larger than standard street size. This means if you wear a size 12-14 or up in your regular clothes, we will have many beautiful options for you to try on! We take great pride in the intimate experience we offer our brides.
During your appointment, you will have your own dedicated bridal stylist working with you to find the perfect dress for your big day. Your stylist is trained in styling your beautiful curves and ensures the process of shopping for your dress is full of love, support, and celebration. We know finding your dress is a moment you will never forget, and we don't take that lightly!
Our Bespoke Refined Experience appointments are available Tuesdays through Fridays, as well as on Sundays. With this experience, you'll have a completely private appointment in our chic downtown Birmingham bridal boutique, as we close the store for you and up to 8 guests. This exclusive experience includes small bites and mimosas, along with a few special surprises along the way.

I very much enjoyed my experience at Refined. It was truly an amazing feeling to walk in to a bridal shop and know that I could try on every single dress in the store. Christina was incredibly helpful and patient, a true joy to work with. It was so amazing to hear her heart behind why she opened Refined; I felt so connected to her while talking about body positivity. I wish that every plus sized bride could experience the feeling of having so many options for finding their perfect wedding gown. I highly recommend Christina’s bridal shop for all full-figured brides! 10/5 stars, for sure!!!

I had a really great shopping experience with Refined...even in the height of COVID (I originally went to the shop in November 2020). I honestly was dreading shopping for a dress as a plus size bride. Christina and her assistant were great and I feel like I got the full bridal experience that I could not get anywhere else. That was confirmed when I went to another shop in Birmingham the same day! However, there were some communication issues in the ordering process. I expected the dress to arrive around February/March for a fitting before my May wedding. After several calls to the shop I found

Jazelyn, thank you so much for my amazing appointment. You and Christina made the day so incredible. I had been nervous about wedding dress shopping for months because I was scared that none of the sample sizes would fit or that the ones that did wouldn’t be in the style I was looking for. Clothes shopping is already very stressful so you can imagine how WEDDING DRESS shopping felt. You all made me so comfortable and relaxed, and really helped me feel beautiful. I was so nervous about trying on dresses, but the girls at Refined made me feel comfortable from the minute I walked in the door. They were patient and encouraging and helped me feel so good about the dresses and the process. I never thought I would be able to have a good experience shopping for a wedding dress, and this wasn't just good, it was amazing. I highly recommend Refined if you're a plus size bride nervous about shopping!
