Marrero's was originally a private home, built in 1890-1891 by Francisco Marrero, a prominent local cigar maker. He promised the house to his beloved, Enriquetta Marrero, as a forever home to raise their family together. Some say their legacy lives on in the form of a benevolently spirited energy passing through the halls of the old house.

Services
They treat each and every guest like a VIP with TLC and go above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere. From personally greeting guests upon arrival and holding court during Happy Hour to recommending local fare and booking excursions, the Marrero's team has you covered. Our Innkeeper Cassidy relocated from Ohio to Key West over 10 years ago, which makes her a "freshwater conch" in local terms.

Just returned from our third stay at Marrero's guest mansion! I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Key West. The renovations are absolutely beautiful, and the hospitality is even better, and can't beat the location if you don't plan on renting any vehicle. Close enough to walk to all of Duval, Fort Zachary Taylor, the marinas and waterfront dining..If you want to go to Key West and feel like you're staying with family, this is the ticket!

This place is amazing! The mansion is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the staff make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the front door until the moment you have to say goodbye until next time. We had the best Honeymoon thanks to not only the experience of staying in a place with such great history, but with the modern amenities and being surrounded by awesome people…be it staff or other guest. We highly recommend staying here and there is a 100% chance we will be visiting on anniversaries…thank you for making our honeymoon great and we can’t say enough good things

Stayed here recently for long weekend. Overall great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, king bed was very comfortable. location can't be beat. close enough to Duval that you're right in the action in under a 4 minnute walk. and far enough away, that it doesnt keep you up when you're ready to call it a night.
my only knock on the stay has to do with Bathroom in room 7 in particular. its very small, which is forgivable given theyre doing what they can with space available. but shower really needs either a shief or shower caddy. It was fairly annoying to constantly

Loved my stay here!
Hotel was so responsive prior to my arrival, and I appreciated them reaching out before arrival to see if I needed anything or had any questions.
Upon check in, Cassidy was so welcoming, accommodating and pleasant.
Lobby, the room, the pool was wonderful.
Really happy that I stayed here and am looking forward to going back in the future.

Super clean room. We had the pool cabana room. If you like space then don’t book this room, it’s tiny! Entire home is spotless, staff is amazing. They’re all super friendly and helpful. Pool area is small but clean. We can’t speak of the happy hour as we were never on premises at that time of day. Breakfast was not much of a variety, but again, area was convenient and clean. The location of the home is perfect! You are literally a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shopping. We would stay again!

Stayed here over the weekend for a sisters trip. The place was lovely. Clean room, nice pool. Although there was construction going on the whole time, they compensated by having a free happy hour or any time you felt like a glass of wine or beer. There was a nice fresh continental breakfast in the morning. Kait was extremely pleasant. We had an issue with parking, after an extremely long day with one of our flights being messed up, we wound up getting in at 1:00am. We did not park in the correct lot and that was completely our fault. We were given a letter with perfectly written directions. Laura

The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The place was super clean despite them continuing their wonderful renovations. Their happy hour was great as well as their breakfast choices, it was also great location and was close to everything. Also, I recommend getting parking through Marrerro's it'll save you money all in all Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with any and everything I needed during my stay. Super convenient location just a block away from Duval. The rooms were nice and clean, decorated in a modern style yet preserving the history of the building. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!

Marrero's was better than expected. Have been to Key West many times and was looking for a place just like this. Central location is the first perk. Once arriving, the staff and amenities were the second perk. (Morning coffee, breakfast, pool, happy hour, honor bar) Finally, the history of the home was well worth the stay. I cant wait until we can go again and would certainly recommend. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you Marrero's for a wonderful and relaxing place to call home for a few days. Until next time...

OMG!! Love this place. From the moment we walked in we fell in love with this bed and breakfast, and both Cassidy and Laura. You couldn't ask for 2 better hostesses. Both super friendly, courteous and helpful, 1 did the breakfast buffet and the other did the happy hour and both were amazing. Great location, walking distance to everything. Highly recommend Marrero's to everyone!!

Absolutely love this place and we will be staying here going forward for our trips to Key West. It's got a nice little pool if you just want to chill and be lazy for a little while and I love the rooms with balconies!
PS, it's not haunted like the ghost tour mentions. You'll hear the roosters fighting or making noises in the trees outside but that's about it!

Had such a great time at marreros! It would s such a cute and charming place with lots of history behind it. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the shared rooms and for us it was great, it also comes with a mini fridge and it right next to Faustos grocery store if you want to refrigerate some snacks. Sharing the bathroom was never a real problem and is cleaned daily and you are given fresh towels that are put in your room. The pool area is amazing, heated pool, ice box, honor bar (take a beer, pay later), and garden area. Happy hour is great with free cheese and crackers, beer, and wine. For mixed

We stayed in room 18. The house is incredible. Super clean and charming. The employees are friendly and truly made our stay so perfect. Happy hour each day was a nice touch with some free beer and wine as well as snacks. Our room was cleaned each day. The breakfast spread was just the perfect selection to get your day started. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! They also have a great pool to help cool down on hot days

For an affordable visit to Key West I'm glad I chose to stay at Marrero's rather than some air b&b. It was a little more expensive (especially after paying for the parking), but was worth it for the great location, nice breakfast, relaxing happy hour, neat building and hotel-like amenities. In my experience the service was nice and helpful. They gave excellent advice, prepared strong drinks, and got me an iron & board upon request. The no kids policy was also welcome.
My favorite thing was was probably Marrero's location, right in the heart of Key West just a block from

So many things I despised about this place, I really was hopeful that my stay would be great by the number of positive reviews and after staying here, I really don't understand why this place has such good reviews. This is the worst place (out of 9 places) that I have ever stayed at Key West:
First and foremost the major downside is the owner of this property. She has zero manners or professionalism, she is rude, should not be in the hospitality business and attributes to a negative vibe this place has. I simply reviewed how I was not happy about the fact they don't offer coffee all day

Such a great way to experience Key West!
Charming, quaint, and not like the other cookie cutter resorts. Sure, Margaritaville is nice, but the staff at Marrero's and the overall feel of the house is just perfect!
They have a Happy Hour we took full advantage of, and were just so darn nice.
Definitely going back :)

This is a beautiful, well kept hotel that used to be a mansion. What I like most is the proximity to Duval St. and many of the activities such as sunset celebration and the famous restaurants such as Sloppy Joe's and Irish Kevin's. Another nice thing about Marrero's is, this is an adult only hotel. The pool is not very big, but well kept and great for a dip, the rooms are non smoking which is a plus, many places I have stayed in the Keys smell like smoke inside, this one is clean and the grounds are well maintained. There are quite a few different room choices and all vary in price

Our experience was not great but not horrible I guess. My friends and I (late 30's - mid 40's) arrived in the early afternoon.
When we arrived to check in we waited for 20 mins b/c the person at the front desk apparently ran out for subway. Our room was small beyond small which we semi expected. The noise was hard at night but that is not their fault of course.
The pool area is cute and charming - outdoor private shower was nice. They have beer and towels - "honor system" payment requested.
Their "happy hour" leaves much to be desired but their homemade Sangria

This bed n breakfast was top notch. Not only is it close to Duval, but you're far enough to cancel out any noise, especially if you play some sleep noise app from your phone. I recommend doing that because the roosters do start crowing at around 3 am. But we did have a room facing Fleming St. So we're not sure if the other rooms heard them too. The pool is really nice and quiet, I only wish we had one more day to stay so we could enjoy it. We were only here for 2 nights. The staff was most accommodating, and the continental breakfast was excellent! We will definitely come back!

I never stay anywhere else when I visit Key West. On one visit I left some earrings behind that I had purchased at the Truman house. Imagine my glee when I returned a few months later and they had found my earrings and kept them for me!
The staff is top notch. We partied in the pool with the owners once. They are so cool!
And out of the 4 times we've stayed there, we've had paranormal experiences 3 times.
The location can't be beat. You can walk to Duval Street in like 30 seconds, but it's far enough away so that it's quiet at night.
I agree with the other person

I love coming to Key West for its history and fun. Marrero's Guest Mansion was awesome! I loved the historic building and we had the cutest room, with a loft. We went to Key West for my friend's 5K. The ladies who work in the parlor and help out with delicious breakfast are a wealth of information. Jen had the fresh croissants, banana bread, and Cuban cafe ready. She also relayed the history of the mansion, helped us with a map, and recommended WeCycle. We practically saw everything in Key West! We could not have been more pleased. Every time I go to Key West, I will now stay here. I
