We are an exceptional education program that specializes in mentoring young learners to construct their own knowledge via an integrated academic curriculum rooted in meaningful academic learning, exploration, experimentation, mindfulness, kindness and self regulation practices and skill sets. We provide an engaging and state certified preschool program for students ages 30 months to 5 years old.
We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday on a year round basis with specific closure dates due to holidays and teacher in-service days. We believe young learners are competent, curious, resourceful, intelligent, imaginative, creative, self-empowered and interested in the world around them.

As one of the first eco-healthy enviromental schools in the state of Oregon, we believe in providing families and young learners with a space and place that honors all childrens' needs to explore and experiment with the world around them in authenic and diverse ways, both inside of the classrooms and outside in nature.
Preschool is a time for children to expand their natural curiosity about the world around them as they work to construct knowledge, get along with others and utilize their interests and growing skills to reach out to the rest of the world.

Children's experimentation and raw creationism facilitates fluid knowledge about themselves and the world around them. We honor their right to grow a rich tapestry of learning from the threads of their innate curiosity and thirst for wonder.
We think it is important to help students understand the process behind WHY things are the way they are, including HOW words, sounds, numbers, equations, shapes, patterns, practices, pathways and relationships between many different objects and ideas are formed and translated with usage and manipulation.

When the new family enrolls, we will apply a credit to your account after 30 days of enrollment. If 2 full time families and/or siblings enroll within 30 days, YOUR family will receive a $175 tuition credit. If you refer 2 part time families and/or siblings within 30 days, YOUR family will receive a $100 tuition credit.

Our son has been going to Happy Hollow for 2.5 years now. We feel so fortunate to have found this preschool, and have loved being part of their community. The children play outside rain or shine, which is so important. The teachers have been awesome, offering kids numerous experiences to explore their senses and interests, treat others with respect and kindness, and play, play, play. I would recommend Happy Hollow to anybody and everybody.

This is such a great place for kids!
The teachers really care, and frequently adapt lesson plans based on parent feedback, often on the day the feedback is given!
We had some financial hurdles while we were going here, and the administration worked withus through everything.
I'm really glad my daughter got a chance to go here. :-)

After touring many preschools in the Beaverton area searching for a place for my daughter, I was delighted when I finally discovered Happy Hollow. I had wanted a place where my child would be able to go outside every day, where the playground and facilities allowed for creative exploration, where my daughter could dig and get muddy and collect leaves, and where the classroom was centered around exploration rather than worksheets. Happy Hollow is a truly wonderful place and I am so grateful to have found them. The teachers are very engaged and nurturing and focused on providing the children with rich experiences and basic life skills including empathy and self-sufficiency. This is an amazing place for young children. I am so happy to have found a place where my child feels important and loved as she walks through all of her preschool adventures. I cannot overstate the positive impact this has had on our family and our child. There is no replacement for positive, challenging, creative, fun childhood experiences. Most importantly she is learning how to be a good person! It takes a whole community but Happy Hollow has made the most significant contribution to helping us raise our child as a respectful constructive learner!
