On Friday, 8/20/21, Jim Bove performed an inspection of my home (3/2/2) in Port Richey. It was built in 1988 and I have been renting it out since. I hadn’t had an inspection in a long time, my tenants had been in the house for 6 years, and I had lived away for awhile not seeing the house, so I felt it was time to get it checked out. Jim arrived at 8:30 AM as planned and performed his inspection until about 10:45 AM, asking the tenants and me some questions. I received a 40-page report (summary, text detail, and pictures) over the weekend via email and reviewed it. I found it to be thorough and

So we used them to do an inspection and he advised there was cracking on shingles we advised we will replace and we need a new inspection sent out, this inspector advised no he will not revise inspection and he will not unless the whole porch roof was replace which he advised him self had a year left doesn’t when he wrote in report it was on its last leg seemed like he is inexperienced and doesn’t realize what he is saying I would recommend a real inspector to come out to your home and inspect it this on does not know what he is doing he is looking for everything wrong he wrote a 14 page report

I recently used Mr. Bove as I am in the process of buying my first home. He conducted a full inspection with wind mitigation and later a 4 point inspection. He was very responsive from my very first inquiry and the MANY more that followed, often emailing me back within minutes. He was extremely thorough and took his time explaining things in a way that I could understand. Buying your first home is extremely stressful and I'm positive I asked him many things more than once, but he was always patient, kind and caring.
