Rodney and Tammy Krantz started Krantz Kooling and Heating in 1983 with the goal of providing top-notch heating, ventilation and air conditioning services to residents of Columbia, Lexington and other communities in central South Carolina. We are a family owned and operated business. As our business grew, so did our family.
Today, our sons are trained, licensed and certified HVAC technicians. We work on all makes and models of heating and air conditioning equipment. We do new installations, seasonal maintenance, routine repairs, indoor air quality enhancement and ductwork. I wish I would have called them 2 years ago. They just replaced my entire unit. The price was very fair also the job was done very professionally, quickly and clean. BEWARE OF PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES! These guys came out for a diagnostic. They gave me the worst-case scenario as fact, and suggested I replace vents, refrigerant lines, compressor, etc. because " repair would be just as costly as replacement." In addition, they had the nerve to charge me $100 to have a technician come out to up sell me 8k worth of work, mind you, he DID NOT fix anything!
I went with a second opinion and was able to get the unit repaired for 10% of the quoted price, and it works much better than before! Turns out, the refrigerant lines and vents work just fine, go
