Dr. Dale Mortenson grew up in Iowa. After working as a machinist for a time and being involved in a serious motorcycle accident, he discovered chiropractic care. He benefited greatly from the care, which ultimately redirected his life. Making the decision to change careers, he enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
On your First Visit to our office, you will fill out our New Patient Paperwork, which you will find a copy of in the New Patient Paperwork tab here on our website if you would like to fill it out in advance. After completing the paperwork you will meet Dr. Mortenson for your consultation.
In the consultation we will not only review the history of your case but ask other important questions and listen to your answers which will direct us toward the proper diagnosis.Once we have a complete history we will move on to find out whether or not you have a chiropractic problem.

The Atlas Orthogonal technique is extremely gentle and requires no twisting, popping, or cracking of the neck. This is able to be accomplished through very careful analysis of the atlas bone itself through x-ray views taken from the front, side, and top. These specific views allow the doctor to see exactly how the atlas has misaligned in the x, y, and z axes.
What is a subluxation? A subluxation is a bone of your spine that is out of its normal position which causes irritation to the nerves/nervous system in that area. Chiropractors treat subluxations, not symptoms. What is an adjustment? An adjustment is what the chiropractor does in order to remove a subluxation from your spine.

They are thief's..
Was in a car accident and was told it was covered by my insurance and was charged $75 every visit in which I paid.
Then after a couple of months found out my limit was reached and it wasn't covered so I gave them my own health insurance..
My Dad had a fall in Port Saint Lucie and I had to leave to take care of him ...
I told them I was not able to keep seeing them and found out my own health insurance wasn't covering their bill for some reason I which they told me it was..
Then they whacked my credit for $1120.00 I disputed it
They are thief's..

Dr Mortenson has treated me through several auto accidents and numerous other problems.
He is the only chiropractor within hundred of miles that has specialized training in upper cervical work. He is personable, knowledgeable, and always shows concern. I do not hesitate to highly recommend him. His staff is always friendly, and professional too.

I have been seeing Dr Mortenson for over a year. I had a pain in my right hip/back so severe I could barely walk. After a few weeks the pain was gone with no recurrence. I continue seeing the doctor monthly for adjustments to ensure I don’t have more problems. He and his staff make you feel like you are part of their family. I would recommend Dr Mortenson to anyone with assurance he will help them or tell them he can’t.
